An exogenous NLS can rescue the nuclear localization of the hARD1 NLS mutant.

open access: yes, 2014
A. The region of the exogenous NLS insertion in ARD1. On the reported structure of the yeast ARD1, the region corresponding to the exogenous NLS insertion site in hARD1 (next to a.a. 64) is indicated by a red arrow. B.

Cognitive and Neuroimaging Divergence Between Juvenile and Adult FUS Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a neurodegenerative disorder characterized by progressive motor neuron degeneration. Fused in sarcoma (FUS)‐associated juvenile ALS (jALS) represents a distinct and aggressive subgroup with rapid deterioration and poor prognosis.

Optimizing high-resolution multi-view drone imaging for detecting foreign grains in gluten-free oat production fields [PDF]

open access: yesThe International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences
To reduce the high cost of manually detecting and removing gluten-containing grains from oat crops, drone imaging and deep learning can be used to automate the detection process.

Microstructure‐Controlled Crack Propagation and Fracture Resistance in MoSiBTiC Alloy Revealed by Multiscale Extended Finite Element Method Modeling

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A two‐dimensional multiscale finite element analysis framework was established for the first‐generation MoSiBTiC alloy, and the mechanical and fracture‐related parameters of the constituent phases were calibrated through experiments and simulations. The framework provides a basis for analyzing crack propagation behavior in its complex microstructure ...

Blowup for fractional NLS [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We consider fractional NLS with focusing power-type nonlinearity i∂tu=(−Δ)su−|u|2σu,(t,x)∈R×RN, where 1 ...

Historical Foundation and Practical Guideline for Ferroelectric Switching Kinetic Studies

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The P and U pulses in the conventional PUND measurements are not identical because of the interplay between switching current and the measurement circuit components. This circuit effect can lead to a shift in polarization transients and misinterpreted physics in the switching kinetics.

An investigation into resuscitation council UK (RC UK) neonatal life support (NLS) course outcomes [PDF]

open access: yes
Most newborns transition to extrauterine life without assistance. However, the World Health Organization reports that approximately 10 % of all newborns require some intervention at birth and estimate that .5 % will require cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Ferroelectric Dynamic‐Field‐Driven Nucleation and Growth Model for Predictive Materials‐To‐Circuit Co‐Design

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a compact dynamic‐field‐driven nucleation and growth (DFNG) model that captures ferroelectric switching behavior under arbitrary voltage waveforms. It enables extraction of time‐dependent domain wall velocity and growth dimensionality, which can then be extended to device‐level modeling.

MTEB-NL and E5-NL: Embedding Benchmark and Models for Dutch

open access: yesCoRR
Recently, embedding resources, including models, benchmarks, and datasets, have been widely released to support a variety of languages. However, the Dutch language remains underrepresented, typically comprising only a small fraction of the published multilingual resources.
