U prelaznoj zoni prostate veoma je česta promjena benigna hiperplazija prostate (BHP), ali također i atipična hiperplazija (AH) i adenokarcinom (AK). Tumori prelazne zone (latentni, okultni) klasificiraju se kao stadij A i B. Dobro su ili srednje diferencirani.
