Trailing Edge Noise Reduction by Passive and Active Flow Controls [PDF]
This paper presents the results on the use of porous metal foams (passive control) and dielectric barrier surface plasma actuations (active control) for the reduction of vortex shedding tonal noises from the nonflat plate type trailing edge serration in ...

Profiling instances in noise reduction [PDF]
The dependency on the quality of the training data has led to significant work in noise reduction for instance-based learning algorithms. This paper presents an empirical evaluation of current noise reduction techniques, not just from the perspective of their comparative performance, but from the perspective of investigating the types of instances that

Rad27/FEN1 prevents accumulation of Okazaki fragments and ribosomal DNA copy number changes
The budding yeast Rad27 is a structure‐specific endonuclease. Here, the authors reveal that Rad27 is crucial for maintaining the stability of the ribosomal RNA gene (rDNA) region. Rad27 deficiency leads to the accumulation of Okazaki fragments and changes in rDNA copy number.

"Aging behavior of fluororubber with high fluorine content in aviation lubricating oil"
High fluorine content fluororubber (FKM) was used as the research object, the high temperature medium resistance of high fluorine content FKM vulcanizates in a variety of aero-engine lubricanting oils was investigated, and the changes in physical and ...

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Non-linear viscoelastic characterization of perfluroelastomer raw rubber
Large-amplitude oscillatory shear (LAOS) tests were carried out on 1055 B and 2160 B perfluroelastomer raw rubber. The structural differences were explored by analyzing their rheological behavior.

Effects of decoherence on the shot noise in carbon nanotubes [PDF]
We study the zero frequency noise in an interacting quantum wire connected to leads, in the presence of an impurity. In the absence of quasiparticle decoherence the zero-frequency noise is that of a non-interacting wire.
