Nominal and Real Stochastic Convergence of the BRICS Economies
Abstract This study sheds light on the real and nominal economic convergence and the time-varying convergence speed of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa (BRICS). This paper also employs panel data models and a Malmquist index to analyze the mechanism of real economic convergence.

An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.

The Maastricht Convergence Criteria and Optimal Monetary Policy for the EMU Accession Countries. [PDF]
The EMU accession countries are obliged to fulfill the Maastricht convergence criteria prior to entering the EMU. This paper uses a DSGE model of a two-sector small open economy, to address the following question: How do the Maastricht convergence ...

GOVERNING EUROPEAN UNION TO FINANCIAL STABILITY [PDF]
In the last four years, a significant part of the European Union members has recorded a real decline in the sustainability of their public debt. The failure of Greece, Italy, Belgium or Spain to easily find funding at previous interest rates has induced ...

Real and nominal convergence in the central and east European accession countries [PDF]
Following their accession to the EU, which is planned for May 2004, eight central and east European countries will subsequently strive for integration into the Eurosystem. The Eurosystem underlines the need for simultaneous real and nominal convergence as a prerequisite for integration into the euro area.

Control of Polarization and Polar Helicity in BiFeO3 by Epitaxial Strain and Interfacial Chemistry
In BiFeO3 thin films, the interplay of interfacial chemistry, electrostatics, and epitaxial strain is engineered to stabilize homohelicity in polarization textures at the domain scale. The synergistic use of a Bi2O2‐terminated Aurivillius buffer layer and a highly anisotropic compressive epitaxial strain offers new routes to control the polar‐texture ...

THE PERSPECTIVES OF EURO INTEGRATION IN ROMANIA, IN THE UNCERTAINTY CONTEXT AROUND THE FOREIGN MARKETS [PDF]
This paper has the object to analyze to what extent Romania fulfils the Maastricht criteria in comparison to some countries which are candidate members from Central Europe, in the todays unfavorable context which has been achieved under the actual global

This study demonstrates an artificial polymodal nociceptor whose firing threshold is actively modulated by temperature. A volatile TiN/TiOx/ZnO/TiOx/ITO memristor shows interfacial ion–driven resistive switching and membrane‐potential‐like dynamics, enabling temperature‐dependent nociceptive behavior.

Optoelectronic synaptic devices based on solution‐processed molecular telluride GST‐225 phase‐change inks are demonstrated for three‐factor learning. A global optical signal broadcast through a silicon waveguide induces non‐volatile conductance updates exclusively in locally electrically flagged memristors.

A New Look at Economic Convergence in Europe: A Common Factor Approach [PDF]
We propose a common factor approach to analyse convergence, which we implement using principal components analysis. We show that this method provides a useful new way of approaching the convergence debate.
