Optimizing Perioperative Management of Haemophilia B With rFIX‐FP: Pharmacokinetic Validation of the Hemoptidose Tool

open access: yesHaemophilia, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Surgical management of haemophilia B requires precise factor IX replacement to ensure adequate haemostasis while optimizing factor consumption. Extended half‐life rFIX‐FP simplifies perioperative management but exhibits substantial pharmacokinetic variability.

External validation of nomograms including MRI features for the prediction of side-specific extraprostatic extension

open access: yes
Background: Prediction of side-specific extraprostatic extension (EPE) is crucial in selecting patients for nerve-sparing radical prostatectomy (RP). Multiple nomograms, which include magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) information, are available predict ...

Prognostic Value of PALBI in Patients With Hepatocellular Carcinoma and Concurrent Chronic Kidney Disease: A Nomogram Development

open access: yesHepatology Research, EarlyView.
Patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) as well as chronic kidney disease (CKD) are high‐risk individuals, making it challenging to accurately predict their survival. We found that the PALBI grade model when combined with other patient's clinical and tumor‐related factors, forms a new and highly accurate prediction tool to estimate their ...

Updates and controversies in contemporary grading of clear cell renal cell carcinoma and papillary renal cell carcinoma

open access: yesHistopathology, EarlyView.
New concepts, innovations and some issues have emerged since the adoption a decade ago of WHO/ISUP grading for CCRCC and PRCC. Continued use of the WHO/ISUP grading for CCRCC and PRCC has been upheld by newer studies, and practice guidance for some of the grading issues, where data are available, is provided.

Implementation of a Standardized Nurse‐Guided Heparinization Protocol Improves Anticoagulation During Left Atrial Ablation Procedures

open access: yesJournal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology, EarlyView.
A standardized, nurse‐led heparinization protocol significantly improves the speed, consistency, and precision of achieving therapeutic ACT levels during left atrial ablation, while reducing excessive anticoagulation and maintaining a comparable safety profile to conventional operator‐guided dosing.
