An experimental medicine protocol for exploring the haemodynamic effects of dual agonism at the glucagon‐like peptide‐1 and glucagon receptor in healthy subjects

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, Volume 92, Issue 2, Page 579-588, February 2026.
Aims Glucagon‐like peptide‐1 (GLP‐1) and glucagon dual receptor agonists are in clinical development for a range of metabolic conditions, including type 2 diabetes and obesity. The cardiovascular actions at these receptors are well studied, but less is known about their combination.

CYP2C19 genotype testing for clopidogrel: A guideline developed by the UK Centre of Excellence in Regulatory Science and Innovation in Pharmacogenomics (CERSI‐PGx)

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, Volume 92, Issue 2, Page 329-347, February 2026.
Clopidogrel, an antiplatelet agent, is currently licensed in the United Kingdom for the prevention and treatment of atherothrombotic events in cerebrovascular disease, coronary artery disease and peripheral arterial disease. The Clinical Impact of Cardiovascular Thrombosis on Overall Survival in Patients With Hepatocellular Carcinoma After Transarterial Chemoembolization

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Objectives Progression of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and cardiovascular thrombosis (CVT) has a bidirectional causal relationship. CVT complications will increase in patients with HCC due to etiology shift from viral hepatitis to metabolic dysfunction‐related steatohepatitis.

Acute Liver Failure With Transient Liver Steatosis Following Multiple Hits Postoperatively in a Patient With Limb‐Girdle Muscular Dystrophy: A Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Transient liver steatosis is rarely described. A fast development of liver steatosis leading to acute liver failure (ALF) is, to our knowledge, rarely observed. It is so far observed and published in acute fatty liver of pregnancy, and in a few cases of ALF. However, it is observed in elective surgery for pancreaticoduodenectomy and some cases
