A model for non-isothermal crystallization kinetics
Journal of Non-Crystalline Solids, 1996Abstract In the framework of a previously proposed Integral Equation formalism, an equation is derived for the kinetics of non-isothermal crystallization (devitrification). It is shown that the Kissinger multiple-scan thermal analysis technique, commonly used for the evaluation of activation energies, cannot be applied to all non-isothermal ...

Kinetics of non-isothermal crystallization
Polymer, 1971Abstract Non-isothermal kinetics of the process of nucleation and its growth are derived by extending Avrami's equation. Kinetic analysis of the thermoanalytical data of the process is also described and applied to DSC curves of crystallization obtained by cooling poly(ethylene terephthalate) at constant rates.

Isothermal and non‐isothermal crystallization behavior of PET nanocomposites
Polymer Engineering & Science, 2011AbstractPolyethylene terephthalate (PET)/clay nanocomposites (PCNs) containing 1 wt% Cloisite 30B (C30B) were prepared via melt compounding. Modulated differential scanning calorimetry (MDSC) for isothermally crystallized samples revealed that the third endotherm at the highest temperature may be attributed to the recrystalization and melting of ...

Surface and bulk crystallization in non-isothermal devitrification of glasses
Thermochimica Acta, 1980Abstract The surface and bulk crystallization of Li2O · 2 SiO2 glass has been studied by differential thermal analysis and the influence of the specific surface area of the sample and the nucleation heat treatment on the crystallization kinetics is pointed out.

Non-isothermal crystallization kinetics of Y2Ti2O7
Powder Technology, 2017Abstract The crystallization kinetics of Y 2 Ti 2 O 7 powders prepared by a Pechini-type polymerized complex route was studied using differential thermal analysis under non-isothermal conditions. Apparent activation energies of crystallization of 816 and 804 kJ mol − 1 were obtained from calculations based on the Arrhenius equation and ...

MATHEMATICAL MODELLING AND SIMULATION OF NON-ISOTHERMAL CRYSTALLIZATION OF POLYMERS
Mathematical Models and Methods in Applied Sciences, 2001This paper is devoted to the study of mathematical problems arising in the modelling of nonisothermal polymer crystallization under industrial conditions. A review of the hybrid stochastic-deterministic modelling procedure, which yields an averaged model,5,8 is given and supplied by the study of mathematical problems arising from it.

Isothermal and non-isothermal crystallization of a fresnoite glass
Journal of Non-Crystalline Solids, 2013Abstract Several analytical models have been widely applied to determine the activation energy of crystallization, E , and the Avrami index, n . In this work, the parameters E and n for the crystallization of fresnoite (2BaO·TiO 2 ·2SiO 2 ) glass were calculated using different approaches (Ozawa, Kissinger, and Matusita & Sakka).

Kinetics of non-isothermal crystallization of polyethylene and polypropylene
Polymer, 1983Abstract Differential scanning calorimetry (d.s.c.) data on non-isothermal crystallization of isotactic polypropylene and high-density polyethylene from the melt at different cooling rates were treated in terms of the Ozawa equation. It was found that the crystallization of polypropylene follows the Ozawa equation but in the case of polyethylene the ...

Non‐Isothermal Crystallization of Bovine Milk Fat
Journal of the American Oil Chemists' Society, 2007AbstractThe crystallization kinetics of milk fat were studied under non‐isothermal and simulated adiabatic conditions using pulsed NMR spectroscopy. Isothermal experiments confirmed that when milk fat is shock cooled to below the α melting point it crystallizes in two steps due to the different crystallization kinetics of α and β′ modifications. In non‐
