Non-isothermal crystallization kinetics of As30Te60Ga10 glass

Applied Physics A, 2017
The crystallization study under non-isothermal conditions of As30Te60Ga10 glass was investigated. The studied composition was synthesized by melt-quenching technique and characterized by different techniques such as X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC).

DSC non-isothermal crystallization curves in polyoxymethylene

Colloid & Polymer Science, 1995
Non-isothermal crystallization curves by differential scanning calorimetry for two-dimensional spherulite growth in polyoxymethylene have been modeled using the Avrami equation, taking into account heat dissipation in the sample holder during the phase transition.

Non-isothermal crystallization of PET/PLA blends

Thermochimica Acta, 2009
Binary blends of poly(ethylene terephthalate) with poly(lactic acid), PET/PLA, were studied by differential scanning calorimetry and X-ray scattering. The PET/PLA blends, prepared by solution casting, were found to be miscible in the melt over the entire composition range. Both quenched amorphous and semicrystalline blends exhibit a single, composition

Non-isothermal crystallization in amorphous selenium films

Journal of Thermal Analysis, 1982
The usual determination of kinetic parameters of crystallization of amorphous products is based on isothermal measurements. In general the crystallization of amorphous selenium thin films is studied by non-isothermal experiments (DTA). The adaptation to non-isothermal crystallization of the Avrami transformation rate equation allows us to determine ...

Important Matters of Non-Isothermal Crystallization Method

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014
Non-isothermal crystallization method was performed for pure PLLA and a blend of 50/50 wt% PEO/PLLA samples. The spherulite radial growth rate was calculated and compared to what was acquired using the isothermal crystallization method. It is found that both the fitting order and the decimal number of the fitting polynomial functions heavily affect the

Non-isothermal crystallization of lanthanum-borate glasses

Journal of Materials Science Letters, 1996
A non-isothermal crystn. of 3 La borate glasses of the La3O3.nB2O3 (n = 2, 3, 4) compns. were studied by differential thermal anal. The compns. corresponding to n = 2 and 4 lie in the stable immiscibility area and outside the glass-forming range, while the glass corresponding to n = 3 is situated in the middle of that range.

Non-isothermal crystallization of disilicate glasses

1979
Study of the crystallization behaviour of some alkali or alcaline earth silicate glasses. The authors have used the Johnson-Mehl-Avrami equation to describe the glass-crystal transformation. They have established a relation between activation energy, E, and a parameter, m, linked to the reaction mechanism and the DTA curves.

On the analysis of non-isothermal thermoanalytic crystallization experiments

Journal of Non-Crystalline Solids, 1991
Certain aspects of the standard description of thermoanalytical crystallization experiments are examined. In particular, the applicability of the assumption of an Arrhenian temperature dependence of the crystallization rate constant, K, is assessed for non-isothermal transformations where the condition of site saturation is satisfied.
