Non-metallic inclusions and plasticity of steels
The problems of the influence of non-metallic inclusions in the technological plasticity and mechanical properties of steels are discussed. The results of the study of deformation and destruction of non-metallic inclusions in steel treatment pressure in various conditions were listed.

This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

Screening and transport in 2D semiconductor systems at low temperatures
Low temperature carrier transport properties in two-dimensional (2D) semiconductor systems can be theoretically well-understood within a mean-field type RPA-Boltzmann theory as being limited by scattering from screened Coulomb disorder arising from ...

Magnetic States, Correlation Effects and Metal-Insulator Transition in FCC Lattice [PDF]
The ground-state magnetic phase diagram (including collinear and spiral states) of the single-band Hubbard model for the face-centered cubic lattice and related metal-insulator transition (MIT) are investigated within the slave-boson approach by Kotliar ...

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Non-metallic inclusions are unavoidable defects in steel, and their type, quantity, size, and distribution have a great impact on the quality of steel. At present, non-metallic inclusions are mainly detected manually, which features high work intensity ...
