LIMIT CYCLE BIFURCATIONS IN A CLASS OF PIECEWISE SMOOTH DIFFERENTIAL SYSTEMS UNDER NON-SMOOTH PERTURBATIONS

open access: yesJournal of Applied Analysis & Computation, 2021
Summary: This paper deals with the problem of limit cycles of a class of piecewise smooth integrable differential systems with switching line \(x = 0\). The generating functions of the associated first order Melnikov function satisfy two different Picard-Fuchs equations.

Coupled systems of non-smooth differential equations

open access: yesBulletin des Sciences Mathématiques, 2012
The authors derive conditions for the existence of one-parameter families of periodic solutions for a class of non-smooth coupled systems of second order differential equations. Explicit existence conditions of one-parameter families of periodic orbits for models involving two coupled relay systems are given.

New finite-time synchronization analysis of a delayed memristive neurodynamic model

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2020
This paper presents theoretical results on the finite-time synchronization of delayed memristive neural networks (MNNs). Compared with existing ones on finite-time synchronization of discontinuous NNs, we directly regard the MNNs as a switching system ...

Functions’ algebra in nonlinear control: computational aspects and software; pp. 89–107 [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the Estonian Academy of Sciences, 2017
The paper describes the Mathematica-based software for studying nonlinear control systems. The software relies on an algebraic method, called functions’ algebra.

Local Solvability of a Class of Degenerate Second Order Operators

open access: yesBruno Pini Mathematical Analysis Seminar, 2017
In this paper we will first present some results about the local solvability property of a class of degenerate second order linear partial differential operators with smooth coefficients.

Lie algebras of differentiations of linear algebras over a field

open access: yesДифференциальная геометрия многообразий фигур, 2021
In this paper, we study a system of linear equations that define the Lie algebra of differentiations DerA of an arbitrary finite-dimensional linear algebra over a field.

A Singular Perturbation Approach-Based Non-Cascade Sliding Mode Control for Surface-Mounted PMSMs

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
Motivated by the fact that electrical transients are rather fast compared with mechanical response, the traditional cascade control structure constituted by the inner current and outer speed loops is usually employed in the permanent magnet synchronous ...

Dynamics of Periodic Impulsive Collision in Escapement Mechanism

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2013
Among various non-smooth dynamic systems, the periodically forced oscillation system with impact is perhaps the most common in engineering applications. The dynamical study becomes complicated due to the impact.

Double-Diffusive Natural Convective Flow of a Nanofluid past an Inclined Wavy Plate in a Non-Darcy Porous Medium [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematical, Engineering and Management Sciences, 2019
In this paper, the double-diffusive convective flow along an inclined semi-infinite wavy plate in a nanofluid saturated non-Darcy porous medium is investigated numerically. Following Prandtl’s transposition theorem, a coordinate transformation is used to

Flow dynamics of a time-dependent non-Newtonian and non-isothermal fluid between coaxial squeezing disks

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering, 2021
The goal of this research is to investigate the behaviours of porosity and squeezing phenomena in the presence of time-dependent heat flow that affect the flow rate and improve the system’s heating/cooling mechanism, reduce non-Newtonian fluid turbulence
