Investigation of Physiochemical Impact of Organic Molecule L-Lysine on Ammonium Dihydrogen Phosphate Single Crystal for Optoelectronics Applications

open access: yesElectrochem, 2023
Ammonium dihydrogen phosphate (ADP) single crystals along with the incorporated 0.5 and 1% L-lysine, an organic molecule which possesses a good nonlinear response, were grown with the vision to meet the requirements of the optoelectronic industry.

Nonlinear hydrodynamic theory of crystallization [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Condensed Matter, 2013
We present an isothermal fluctuating nonlinear hydrodynamic theory of crystallization in molecular liquids. A dynamic coarse-graining technique is used to derive the velocity field, a phenomenology, which allows a direct coupling between the free energy functional of the classical Density Functional Theory and the Navier-Stokes equation.

Femtosecond Laser Pulses Amplification in Crystals

open access: yesCrystals, 2019
This paper describes techniques for high-energy laser pulse amplification in multi-PW femtosecond laser pulses. Femtosecond laser pulses can be generated and amplified in laser media with a broad emission spectral bandwidth, like Ti:sapphire crystals. By

Tamm states and nonlinear surface modes in photonic crystals [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We predict the existence of surface gap modes, known as Tamm states for electronic systems, in truncated photonic crystals formed by two types of dielectric rods. We investigate the energy threshold, dispersion, and modal symmetries of the surface modes,

Enhanced conversion efficiency for harmonic generation with double resonance [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
Conversion efficiency for cw harmonic generation is calculated for the situation in which both fundamental and harmonic waves are resonant. Compared with the situation of a singly resonant cavity at the fundamental, the doubly resonant geometry can lead ...

Wave Dispersion in One-Dimensional Nonlinear Local Resonance Phononic Crystals with Perturbation Method

open access: yesCrystals, 2021
Nonlinear phononic crystals are receiving increasingly greater attention in the field of sound absorption and vibration reduction. In this paper, we use the perturbation method to investigate elastic wave propagation in one-dimensional discrete local ...

Nonlinear photonic crystals

open access: yesFrontiers in Optics, 2003
Photonic crystals are usually viewed as an optical analog of semiconductors that modify the properties of light similar to a microscopic atomic lattice that creates a semiconductor band-gap for electrons. Nonlinear photonic crystals and photonic crystals with embedded nonlinear defects create an ideal environment for the observation of many of the ...
