Propagation of nonlinear capillaary waves in an electrically conducting liquid
Journal of Mathematical Sciences, 1994The article deals with the propagation of periodic capillary waves with finite amplitude on the surface of an electrically conducting liquid subjected to the effect of a magnetic field. It is shown that the evolution of wave packets is described by perturbed nonlinear Schrodinger equations.

Nonlinear Electrical Conductivity of Superconducting Films below the Transition Temperature
Physical Review B, 1971The Langevin equation for the superconducting order parameter above the transition temperature ${T}_{c}$ proposed by Schmid is modified to calculate the nonlinear excess conductivity ${\ensuremath{\sigma}}^{\ensuremath{'}}(T,E)$ slightly below ${T}_{c}$.

Nonlinear fluctuation conductivity of a layered superconductor: Crossover in strong electric fields
Physical Review B, 1992The fluctuation conductivity of a clean layered superconductor in an arbitrary electric field is studied. It is shown that in the vicinity of {ital T}{sub {ital c}} an unusual crossover from three-dimensional to two-dimensional behavior in the non-Ohmic region of the electric field excess current dependence takes place.

Peculiarities of nonlinear electrical conductivity of two-dimensional ballistic contacts
Low Temperature Physics, 1997Peculiarities of the conductivity of two-dimensional ballistic contacts that are sensitive to the nature of the confining potential as well as the existence of electrostatic potential inside the microconstriction are considered. It is shown that the position, amplitude, and shape of the peculiarities carry direct information about the position of ...

Strong electric field induced nonlinear effects in electrical conductivity of single wall carbon nanotube films are demonstrated. The increase of electric conductivity with increase of external electric field strength (up to 200 kV/cm) was attributed to the tunneling between the conducting paths of metallic SWCNT and hoping in one dimensional metallic ...

Quantum theory of the nonlinear electrical conductivity of point contacts
Soviet Journal of Low Temperature Physics, 1985A theory of the nonlinear electrical conductivity of small point contacts, whose dimension a is of the order of or smaller than the de Broglie wavelength λB of the current carriers is constructed. It is shown that when l≫λB (l is the mean-free path length of the carriers) point-contact (PC) spectroscopy of the electron–phonon interaction is possible ...

Nonlinear modeling of electrical conduction in biological tissues
2016The behavior for large times of models of electrical conduction in biological tissues becomes relevant in connection with applications, e.g., with electrical impedance tomography, when the boundary data are time periodic. Indeed this is the feature which makes comparison with currently used phenomenological models possible. We consider both microscopic

Reversible nonlinear electrical conductive behavior of high-density polyethylene composites
Journal of Thermoplastic Composite Materials, 2018The reversible nonlinear electrical conductive properties of high-density polyethylene composites filled separately with carbon black (CB), ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, and carbon fiber (CF) were measured using a four-electrode method. It was found that these composites presented significant reversible nonlinear electrical conductive behavior ...
