On the set of solutions of a class of nonlinear evolution inclusions [PDF]

open access: yesKodai Mathematical Journal, 1992
The present paper deals with properties of the solution set of the Cauchy problem for nonlinear evolution inclusions of the form \(x'(t)\in A(t,x(t))+f(t)\), a.e., and \(x'(t)\in A(t,x(t))+F(t,x(t))\), a.e., where \(A\) and \(F\) are multivalued mappings.

Inhibition of cyclin‐dependent kinases 12/13 using CT7439 as a treatment for colorectal cancer with CDK12 upregulation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The proposed mechanism of action for the CDK12/13 inhibitor and cyclin K degrader, CT7439. CDK12/13 inhibition interrupts transcription elongation, leading to increased DNA damage that results in cell death. This agent is a potentially novel treatment option for patients with colorectal cancer. Created in BioRender. Cyclin‐dependent kinase (CDK) 12 and

Non-degenerate implicit evolution inclusions

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2000
We prove the existence of solutions for the implicit evolution inclusion $$ ( B(t) u( t) ) ' + A(t,u(t)) i f(t) $$ under conditions that are easy to verify on the set valued operator $A( t,cdot)$ and that do not imply the operator is monotone.

C2α‐carbanion‐protonating glutamate discloses tradeoffs between substrate accommodation and reaction rate in actinobacterial 2‐hydroxyacyl‐CoA lyase

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Enzymes of the 2‐hydroxyacyl‐CoA lyase group catalyze the condensation of formyl‐CoA with aldehydes or ketones. Thus, by structural adaptation of active sites, practically any pharmaceutically and industrially important 2‐hydroxyacid could be biotechnologically synthesized. Combining crystal structure analysis, active site mutations and kinetic assays,

Fiber-reinforced concrete for complex engineering conditions: material properties, nonlinear response and sustainable applications in spaceflight

open access: yesHigh Temperature Materials and Processes
As space missions evolve toward longer durations and deeper missions, structural materials face unprecedented challenges in extreme extraterrestrial environments, such as extreme temperature swings, intense radiation, cyclic loading, and crack ...

Improved basal drag of the West Antarctic Ice Sheet from L-curve analysis of inverse models utilizing subglacial hydrology simulations [PDF]

open access: yesThe Cryosphere
The West Antarctic Ice Sheet (WAIS) is the focus of current research due to its susceptibility to collapse, which could potentially contribute to rising sea levels.

Establishing an assay to evaluate d‐amino acid oxidase enzyme kinetics and inhibition using WST‐8 redox dye

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This study investigated a novel WST‐8‐based assay for evaluating d‐Amino acid oxidase (DAO) inhibitors. We confirmed its effectiveness using known inhibitors and found that uremic toxins possess relatively weak inhibitory activity compared to existing drugs.

Pharmacological inhibition of the PERK pathway modulates hepatocellular carcinoma growth and immune signaling

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...

Self-consistent Nonlinear Classical Cepheid Pulsations during Stellar Evolution with MESA

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
We extend the time-dependent convection (TDC) treatment in MESA by introducing eddy-viscous dissipation. This software change brings MESA-TDC into closer alignment with the radial stellar pulsation (RSP) framework of the MESA-RSP module.
