Notes on normal p-complements and monomial characters

Quaestiones Mathematicae, 2021
Let G be a finite group and Irr(G) be the set of irreducible (complex) characters of G. Let X ∈  Irr(G) and write cod(X) = |G : ker X |/x(1) as the codegree of X , where ker X is the kernel of X. Denote by M(G) the intersection of the kernels of all the monolithic, monomial irreducible characters of a p-solvable group G with codegrees ...

Normal p-complements and fixed elements

Archiv der Mathematik, 2010
It is well-known that if \(K\) is a group of odd order acting on a 2-group \(P\) such that \(K\) fixes all elements of order 2 and 4 in \(P\), then \(K\) acts trivially on \(P\). Recently \textit{G. Navarro} and \textit{L. Sanus} [J. Algebra 320, No. 6, 2451-2454 (2008; Zbl 1159.20009)] proved, using character theory, that \(K\) acts trivially on \(P\)

Invariant p-complements normalized by the fixed point subgroup

Bulletin des Sciences Mathématiques
This paper investigates the structure of finite groups \( G \) acted on coprimely by a group \( A \), focusing on the notion of \( A \)-\( p \)-nilpotency. A group \( G \) is said to be \( A \)-\( p \)-nilpotent if and only ifit possesses an \( A \)-invariant Hall \( p' \)-subgroup normalized by \( C_G(A) \).
