Multidimensional OMICs reveal ARID1A orchestrated control of DNA damage, splicing, and cell cycle in normal‐like and malignant urothelial cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the frequently mutated chromatin remodeler ARID1A, a subunit of the SWI/SNF cBAF complex, results in less open chromatin, alternative splicing, and the failure to stop cells from progressing through the cell cycle after DNA damage in bladder (cancer) cells. Created in BioRender. Epigenetic regulators, such as the SWI/SNF complex, with important

Multiplicity and concentration of normalized solutions for a Kirchhoff type problem with $ L^2 $-subcritical nonlinearities

open access: yesCommunications in Analysis and Mechanics
In this paper, we studied the existence of multiple normalized solutions to the following Kirchhoff type equation:$ \begin{equation*} \begin{cases} -\left(a\varepsilon^2+b\varepsilon\int_{\mathbb{R}^3}|\nabla u|^2dx\right)\Delta u+V(x)u = \mu u+f(u) &

Normalized solutions for a nonlinear Dirac equation

open access: yesJournal of Differential Equations
We prove the existence of a normalized, stationary solution $Ψ\colon \mathbb{R}^{3} \to \mathbb{C}^{4}$ with frequency $w > 0$ of the nonlinear Dirac equation. The result covers the case in which the nonlinearity is the gradient of a function of the form \begin{equation*} F(Ψ) = a|(Ψ, γ^{0}Ψ)|^{\fracα{2}} + b|(Ψ, γ^{1}γ^{2} γ^{3} Ψ)|^{\fracα{2 ...

A complete solution of the normal Hankel problem

open access: yesLinear Algebra and its Applications, 2010
AbstractThe normal Hankel problem is the one of characterizing the matrices that are normal and Hankel at the same time. We give a complete solution of this problem.

Centro-affine curvature flows on centrally symmetric convex curves [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We consider two types of $p$-centro affine flows on smooth, centrally symmetric, closed convex planar curves, $p$-contracting, respectively, $p$-expanding. Here $p$ is an arbitrary real number greater than 1. We show that, under any $p$-contracting flow,

Escape from TGF‐β‐induced senescence promotes aggressive hallmarks in epithelial hepatocellular carcinoma cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Chronic TGF‐β exposure drives epithelial HCC cells from a senescent state to a TGF‐β resistant mesenchymal phenotype. This transition is characterized by the loss of Smad3‐mediated signaling, escape from senescence, enhanced invasiveness and metastatic potential, and upregulation of key resistance modulators such as MARK1 and GRM8, ultimately promoting

Analytical solutions of the Klein-Fock-Gordon equation with the Manning-Rosen potential plus a Ring-Shaped like potential

open access: yes, 2014
In this work, on the condition that scalar potential is equal to vector potential, the bound state solutions of the Klein-Fock-Gordon equation of the Manning-Rosen plus ring-shaped like potential are obtained by Nikiforov-Uvarov method. The energy levels

ShcD adaptor protein drives invasion of triple negative breast cancer cells by aberrant activation of EGFR signaling

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identified adaptor protein ShcD as upregulated in triple‐negative breast cancer and found its expression to be correlated with reduced patient survival and increased invasion in cell models. Using a proteomic screen, we identified novel ShcD binding partners involved in EGFR signaling pathways.

Multi‐omic characterization of consensus molecular subtype 1 (CMS1) colorectal cancer with dampened immune response improves precision medicine

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study highlights the importance of multi‐omic analyses in characterizing colorectal cancers. Indeed, our analysis revealed a rare CMS1 exhibiting dampened immune activation, including reduced PD‐1 expression, moderate CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, and suppressed JAK/STAT pathway.
