Temporal regulation of murine cytomegalovirus transcription and mapping of viral RNA synthesized at immediate early times after infection [PDF]

open access: yes, 1984
The replication of murine cytomegalovirus strain Smith in murine embryonic fibroblasts was investigated at immediate early, early, and late times after infection.

Dimerisation of HIV-2 genomic RNA is linked to efficient RNA packaging, normal particle maturation and viral infectivity. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
BACKGROUND: Retroviruses selectively encapsidate two copies of their genomic RNA, the Gag protein binding a specific RNA motif in the 5' UTR of the genome.

A Reactive Antagonist Strategy: Cysteine‐Directed Covalent Molecular Glue in Plant Hormone Receptor Regulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The plant hormone jasmonate is perceived by COI1‐JAZ co‐receptors comprising a single F‐box protein COI1 and multiple JAZ repressors with overlapping functions, complicating genetic analysis. We present a reactive antagonist (RA) strategy that selectively promotes COI1 binding to a cysteine‐engineered JAZ variant while blocking wild‐type JAZs, enabling

Heat shock protein 70 (HSP70) expression in antimony susceptible/resistant clinical isolates of Leishmania donovani

open access: yesNepal Journal of Biotechnology, 2015
Pentavalent antimonials have long been the first line of defence against leishmaniasis, but resistance has been reported in different parts of the world. Pentavalent antimony is reduced into trivalent form in the cells and is a potential inducer of HSP70

Retinol-binding protein messenger RNA levels in the liver and in extrahepatic tissues of the rat.

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1986
A retinol-binding protein (RBP) cDNA clone was used to examine the effect of retinol status on the level of RBP mRNA in the liver, and to explore whether extrahepatic tissues contain RBP mRNA. In the first series of experiments, poly(A+) RNA was isolated

Engineered CAR‐NKT Extracellular Vesicles Suppress Tumor Progression and Enhance Antitumor Immunity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
TM4SF1‐nanobody engineered CAR‐natural killer T–derived extracellular vesicles (CARTM4SF1‐EVs) provide a cell‐free alternative to CAR‐NKT therapy, achieving potent, targeted antitumor activity with reduced toxicity. CARTM4SF1‐EVs induce immunogenic cell death, remodel the tumor microenvironment, and enhance CD8⁺ T‐cell antitumor immunity.

Expression of connexin genes in the human retina

open access: yesBMC Ophthalmology, 2010
Background Gap junction channels allow direct metabolically and electrical coupling between adjacent cells in various mammalian tissues. Each channel is composed of 12 protein subunits, termed connexins (Cx).
