This study reveals that Urolithin A (UA) counteracts alcohol‐induced cognitive and social dysfunction (AICSD) via a gut microbiome‐dependent mechanism. UA‐enriched Bacteroids sartorii and Parabacteroids distasonis elevate anandamide (AEA), which activates the CB1R‐DRD2‐Rap1 signaling cascade to drive synaptic repair and reduce neuroinflammation ...

We analyzed NMDA receptor subunit mRNAs, proteins, and anchoring proteins in mice transgenic for exon 1 of the HD gene. R6/2 mice had decreased levels of mRNAs encoding ε1 and ε2 NMDA receptor subunits (mouse orthologs of rat NR2A and NR2B subunits), but

In this study, we constructed a nanoparticle that was CD4 antibody‐mediated targeted, Fut7‐expressing plasmid‐loaded cationic liposome, namely CD4‐LDP‐Fut7. Upregulation of Fut7 expression in Tregs by using CD4‐LDP‐Fut7 can increase Treg homing to the intestine, thereby facilitating repair of the intestinal epithelial barrier and inhibiting ...

The plasma membrane carbonic anhydrase in murine hepatocytes identified as isozyme XIV
Background Biochemical and histochemical studies have both previously indicated plasma membrane-associated carbonic anhydrase (CA) activity in hepatocytes which has been assumed to be CA IV.

This study reveals that the E3 ubiquitin ligase TRIM56 exacerbates neuronal ferroptosis and brain damage by mediating K48‐linked ubiquitination and degradation of KLF4, leading to suppression of the xCT/GSH/GPX4 axis. Targeting TRIM56 alleviates cerebral ischemia‐reperfusion injury in vivo and in vitro, highlighting its therapeutic potential.

UNC50 prompts G1/S transition and proliferation in HCC by regulation of epidermal growth factor receptor trafficking. [PDF]
UNC50 has long been recognized as a Golgi apparatus protein in yeast, and is involved in nicotinic receptor trafficking in Caenorhabditis elegans, but little is known about UNC50 gene function in human biology despite it being conserved from yeast to ...

Phosphorylation of Optineurin by TBK1 induces the formation of filaments that condensate upon binding to linear polyubiquitin. Membrane‐anchored LC3 partitions into these condensates, suggesting that phase separation of filamentous Optineurin with ubiquitylated cargo promotes the sequestration of cargo and its subsequent alignment with LC3‐positive ...

A Review of Nanotechnology in microRNA Detection and Drug Delivery
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small, non-coding RNAs that play a crucial role in regulating gene expression. Dysfunction in miRNAs can lead to various diseases, including cancers, neurological disorders, and cardiovascular conditions.

We investigate by proteomics studies how strand‐symmetric and ‐asymmetric cytosine 5‐modifications in DNA are selectively recognized by the nuclear proteome. Using promoter probes with defined modification patterns, we identify tissue‐specific reader proteinsincluding MYC, MAX, and RFX5that discriminate 5‐hydroxymethylcytosine symmetry and sequence ...
