A examination of notch effects in the fatigue of carbon steel by linear notch mechanics.
TRANSACTIONS OF THE JAPAN SOCIETY OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS Series A, 1988 Fatigue tests of 0.31% carbon steel specimens with a circumferential groove were made in a wide range of configuration parameters. As a result, it has been confirmed that the linear notch mechanics (LNM) can be successfully applied to the examination of notch effects in fatigue.
