Comprehensive Molecular Modeling Analysis of Betulin, a Triterpene Isolated from Miconia burchellii (Melastomataceae) Native to the Brazilian Cerrado

Betulin, isolated from the Brazilian Cerrado plant Miconia burchellii, was comprehensively characterized using X‐ray diffraction, DFT, and molecular modeling. Solid‐state analysis revealed stabilizing O···H and H···H contacts, while DFT calculations (HOMO–LUMO gap: 9.38 eV) indicated moderate stability.
