Diffractive Results from the Tevatron [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
Hard diffraction in events with dijets and rapidity gaps has been studied by D\O and CDF for three processes: hard color singlet exchange, hard single diffraction, and hard double pomeron exchange, using Tevatron $\bar pp$ data at $\sqrt{s}$ = 630 GeV ...

Incidence and Outcome of Infants With Cancer in Canada: A Report From Cancer in Young People in Canada Database

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, Volume 73, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose Infants with cancer are rare and face unique challenges. Our study aims to describe the incidence of infantile cancers in Canada and to compare treatment‐related mortality (TRM) and their outcomes with those of older children. Methods We conducted a retrospective cohort study using the Cancer in Young People in Canada database ...

NTRK fusion-positive cancers and TRK inhibitor therapy [PDF]

open access: yesNature Reviews Clinical Oncology, 2018
NTRK gene fusions involving either NTRK1, NTRK2 or NTRK3 (encoding the neurotrophin receptors TRKA, TRKB and TRKC, respectively) are oncogenic drivers of various adult and paediatric tumour types. These fusions can be detected in the clinic using a variety of methods, including tumour DNA and RNA sequencing and plasma cell-free DNA profiling.

Molecular determinants of signal transduction in tropomyosin receptor kinases

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, Volume 16, Issue 2, Page 252-267, February 2026.
Tropomyosin receptor kinases control critical neuronal functions, but how do the same receptors produce diverse cellular responses? This review explores the structural mechanisms behind Trk signaling diversity, focusing on allosteric modulation and ligand bias.

A Giant Thoracic ALK‐Rearranged Mesenchymal Neoplasm in a Child

open access: yesCancer Reports, Volume 9, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Mesenchymal neoplasms characterized by ALK fusions mainly include inflammatory myofibroblastic tumors (IMTs) and epithelioid fibrous histiocytomas (EFHs). More recently, ALK‐rearranged mesenchymal tumors that are not IMTs or EFHs, characterized by S100 and CD34 coexpression, have been reported in a few small series and isolated case

NTRK-fusion detection in thyroid and salivary gland cancer offers a targeted therapy with NTRK-inhibitor

open access: yesGSC Biological and Pharmaceutical Sciences, 2023
NTRK-fusion in cancer is rare but it offers targeted therapy with NTRK-inhibitor. NTRK fusion is not a point mutation. NTRK fusion is an oncogenic driver, NTRK mutation is not an oncogenic driver. Patients with NTRK point mutation do not respond to NTRK-targeted therapy. NTRK fusion was detected in secretory carcinoma.

Search for Neutral Higgs Bosons of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model in e+e- Interactions at sqrt(s) up to 209 GeV [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
A search for the lightest neutral CP-even and neutral CP-odd Higgs bosons of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model is performed using 216.6 pb-1 of data collected with the L3 detector at LEP at centre-of-mass energies between 203 and 209 GeV.

Children and Adolescents With Localised Non‐Rhabdomyosarcoma Soft Tissue Sarcoma: Results of the CWS‐96 and CWS‐2002P Prospective Trials With Reclassification of the Trial Data Incorporating the Recent Soft Tissue Sarcoma Registry

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, Volume 73, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Here we report the results of the first comprehensive European trials for all soft tissue sarcoma entities, which aimed to develop a new risk stratification system, limit radiotherapy and chemotherapy for low‐/standard‐risk patients, and evaluate different chemotherapy regimens for high‐risk patients.

Search for Excited Quarks in $q\bar{q} \to \gamma\gamma$ at the LHC

open access: yes, 2007
If quarks are composite particles, then excited states are expected to play a r\^ole in the Large Hadron Collider phenomena. Concentrating on virtual effects, and using a large part of the CMS detection criteria, we present here a realistic examination ...

BAC-FISH assays delineate complex chromosomal rearrangements in a case of post-Chernobyl childhood thyroid cancer [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Structural chromosome aberrations are known hallmarks of many solid tumors. In the papillary form of thyroid cancer (PTC), for example, activation of the receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK) genes, RET and neurotrophic tyrosine kinase receptor type I (NTRK1)
