Coxsackievirus B3 persistence and myocarditis in NFR nu/nu and +/nu mice

Medical Microbiology and Immunology, 1984
NFR nude (nu/nu) and euthymic (+/nu) littermates were infected with coxsackievirus B3 (CBV-3) and assayed for virus persistence in the heart, pancreas and spleen, for development of myocarditis and for antibody production. The virus grew to higher titer and persisted longer in hearts of nu/nu mice. In both types of mice there was comparable myocarditis

Antibody Formation to Double-Stranded DNA in nu/nu and nu/+ Mice

International Archives of Allergy and Applied Immunology, 2009
Antibody formation to double-stranded (ds-) DNA in nude mice (nu/nu) and normal littermates (nu/+) was studied using a Millipore filter method. The mean antibody titre to ds-DNA in the sera of nu/nu mice was generally higher than that in nu/+ mice raised in the same environment.

‘Nu, Nu and Nu’

Journal of European Studies, 2004
Nu (Non) , a volume of critical essays, was Eugène Ionesco’s first publication in Romania in 1934. In this work he reveals contempt for Romanian literature, literary politics and, indirectly, politics itself. At the same time Ionesco the critic already displays his unique characteristics: humour, spontaneity, playfulness, recalcitrance and ...

Search for nu(mu)-->nu(e) and nu(mu)-->nu(e) oscillations at NuTeV.

Physical review letters, 2002
Limits on nu(mu)-->nu(e) and nu(mu)-->nu(e) oscillations are extracted using the NuTeV detector with sign-selected nu(mu) and nu(mu) beams. In nu(mu) mode, for the case of sin(2)2alpha = 1, Delta(m)(2)>2.6 eV(2) is excluded, and for Delta(m)(2)>>1000 eV(2), sin(2)2alpha>1.1 x 10(-3).
