Differences of nu / + and nu / nu mice in some behaviors reflecting temperament traits
Physiology & Behavior, 1996The goal of this paper is to discover a pattern of consistent behavioral differences between athymic CD1 nu/nu mice and euthymic CD1 nu/+ ones. The following behaviors, thought to be correlates of temperament traits, were measured along 3 trials: ambulation, rear, and defecation in two open fields of varying light intensity, interaction time with a ...

Search for B --> tau(nu) and B --> K(nu)nu.
Physical review letters, 2001We report results of a search for B-->tau(nu) in a sample of 9.7 x 10(6) charged B meson decays. We exclusively reconstruct the companion B decay to suppress background. We set an upper limit on the branching fraction B(B-->tau(nu))K+/-nu(nu))

Search For Nu(mu)-]nu(tau) Oscillation
1993The fine granularity of the CHARM-II detector has been exploited to search, in the CERN-SPS wide band neutrino beam, for quasi-elastic nu(tau) interactions followed by the decay tau --> pinu(tau). Since the sampling thickness of the target calorimeter corresponds to approximately 1/9 of an interaction length, these events appear in the detector as a ...

Clinical and experimental immunology, 1982
Infections with the avirulent (A7/74) strain of Semliki Forest virus which causes primary demyelination of the central nervous system in mice have been studied further in nude athymic (nu/nu) mice and their immunocompetent (nu/+) litter mates to measure the production of immunoglobulins.

The disappearance of electron neutrinos observed in the Gallium radioactive source experiments is analyzed in the effective framework of two-neutrino mixing. We found an indication of neutrino disappearance due to neutrino oscillations with a square-mass difference much larger than those observed in solar and atmospheric neutrino experiments.

Hematopoietic stem cells in +/+, nu/+, and nu/nu C57Bl/10 mice.
Experimental hematology, 1991Mice with the nu mutation have been shown to have a reduced incidence of spleen colony-forming units (CFU-S), with a higher variability between individual mice compared to +/+ mice. The presence of these defects also in nu/+ mice indicates that this mutation is a codominant trait and that the hematopoietic changes may not be solely caused by thymus ...

We report results from measurements of the high resolution FTIR spectrum for the fully deuterated benzene molecule C6D6 in the range 450-3500 cm(1). Accurate spectroscopic constants have been obtained for the fundamental vibration nu(11) at 496.208 cm(1) and improved ground state constants have been deduced from a fit of ground state combination ...
