Advances in nuclear reaction calculations by incorporating information from nuclear mean-field theories

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2017
Mean-field model calculations for nuclear structure theories are combined with the statistical Hauser-Feshbach code in order to improve predictive capabilities of nuclear reaction for experimentally unknown cross sections.

Effect of Chiral Symmetry Restoration on Pentaquark $\Theta^+$ Mass and Width at Finite Temperature and Density

open access: yes, 2005
We investigate the effect of chiral phase transition on the pentaquark $\Theta^+$ mass and width at one-loop level of $N\Theta^+K$ coupling at finite temperature and density.

Phenotypic and genotypic characterization of single circulating tumor cells in the follow‐up of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.

The PI3Kδ inhibitor roginolisib (IOA‐244) preserves T‐cell function and activity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Identification of novel PI3K inhibitors with limited immune‐related adverse effects is highly sought after. We found that roginolisib and idelalisib inhibit chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) cells and Treg suppressive functions to similar extents, but roginolisib affects cytotoxic T‐cell function and promotion of pro‐inflammatory T helper subsets to a

The effect of deformation parameter of heavy nuclei on level density parameter

open access: yesIraqi Journal of Physics, 2019
The possible effect of the collective motion in heavy nuclei has been investigated in the framework of Nilson model. This effect has been searched realistically by calculating the level density, which plays a significant role in the description of the ...

Colorectal cancer‐derived FGF19 is a metabolically active serum biomarker that exerts enteroendocrine effects on mouse liver

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Meta‐transcriptome analysis identified FGF19 as a peptide enteroendocrine hormone associated with colorectal cancer prognosis. In vivo xenograft models showed release of FGF19 into the blood at levels that correlated with tumor volumes. Tumoral‐FGF19 altered murine liver metabolism through FGFR4, thereby reducing bile acid synthesis and increasing ...

The puzzle of suppression of nuclear level density in N ≈ Z Zn isotopes compared to N > Z

open access: yesPhysics Letters B
A systematic investigation of isospin dependence of nuclear level density (NLD) is performed for the Zn isotopes. Experimental level densities of 67Zn and 61Zn have been determined by analyzing the spectra of evaporated neutrons emitted from the excited ...

Investigation of the effects of nuclear level density parameters on the cross sections for the 234U(γ,f) reaction

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2015
In this study, we have investigated the effects of nuclear level density parameters on the cross sections for the 234U(γ,f) reaction up to 20 MeV. The cross sections on 234U(γ,f) reaction were calculated for different level density models using the TALYS

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 increases metastatic potential and aggressiveness in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...
