Enrichment of Hypermethylated DNA on Chip for Cervical Cancer Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, Volume 13, Issue 1, 7 January 2026.
A microfluidic chip coated with surface‐immobilized methyl binding domain 2 (MBD‐2) protein receptors, is able to bind hypermethylated DNA (hmDNA) from a cancer cell line selectively. Quantification by quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) shows a 30‐fold enrichment in cervical cancer target DNA.

Biogenic Next‐Gen CPL Emitters: Strategies with Proteins, Polysaccharides, and Nucleotides

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 14, Issue 1, 9 January 2026.
Biogenic molecules such as proteins, peptides, saccharides, and DNA can act as natural scaffolds for generating circularly polarized luminescence (CPL). This review highlights recent strategies exploiting these inherently chiral frameworks to achieve light emission with controllable handedness under unpolarized excitation, bridging biological ...

Implanted Miniature Light Devices for Phototherapeutics

open access: yesAdvanced Therapeutics, Volume 9, Issue 1, January 2026.
Modern phototherapeutics has many attractive features; however, the shallow penetration of light into skin and tissue is an inherent physical limitation that restricts usage to superficial sites of disease. To mitigate this major problem, researchers and clinicians are actively developing miniature implanted light devices that can be implanted within a
