Transfer RNA nucleotidyltransferase
1990Publisher Summary All tRNA molecules contain, at the 3′ terminus, the identical-CCA sequence that is required for their acceptor and transfer functions. In prokaryotic cells, no discrete pattern has emerged. In laboratory strains of Escherichia coli , all tRNA genes sequenced encode the -CCA sequence, and mutant strains devoid of tRNA ...

Transfer RNA nucleotidyltransferase repairs all transfer RNAs randomly
Journal of Molecular Biology, 1977Total Escherichia coli transfer RNA was converted to tRNA-C-C by periodate oxidation and partially repaired with either E. coli or rabbit liver tRNA nucleotidyltransferase. Aminoacylation of the partially repaired molecules indicated that individual tRNA species were each repaired to the same extent as the total population of molecules.

DNA nucleotidyltransferase activity of the developing rat brain
Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Nucleic Acids and Protein Synthesis, 1970Abstract DNA polymerase (deoxynucleoside triphosphate: DNA deoxynucleotidyltransferase, EC 2.7.7.7) activity in soluble extracts from developing rat brain has been studied. The DNA polymerase from infant rat brain required the presence of template DNA, Mg2+ and all four deoxynucleoside triphosphates.

Publisher Summary ATP(CTP)-tRNA nucleotidyltransferase catalyzes the incorporation of AMP and CMP residues into tRNA molecules from which all, or part, of the 3 terminal trinucleotide sequence, –C–C–A, has been removed. tRNA nucleotidyltransferase activity has been identified in a wide variety of organisms including mammals, birds, amphibians ...

[58] Rabbit liver tRNA nucleotidyltransferase
1974Publisher Summary This chapter describes the procedures for the purification of the enzyme from Escherichia coli , and rabbit liver. This procedure yields a preparation of the enzyme from rabbit liver that is homogeneous and about 30,000-fold purified.

[14] Stereochemistry of selected phosphotransferases and nucleotidyltransferases
1982Publisher Summary In recognition of the experimental imperatives for carrying out stereochemical analyses of chemical reactions, this chapter deals with the methodologies of such research. It describes methods for synthesizing chirally substituted phosphorothioate analogs of biological phosphates.
