Identification of serum protein biomarkers for pre‐cancerous lesions associated with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 20, Issue 6, Page 1473-1493, June 2026.
This work identified serum proteins associated with pancreatic epithelial neoplasms (PanINs) and early‐stage PDAC. Proteomics screens assessed genetically engineered mice with abundant PanINs, KPC mice (Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐KrasG12D/+ Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐Trp53R172H/+ Pdx1‐Cre) before PDAC development and also early‐stage PDAC patients (n = 31), compared to benign ...

Nucleolar dynamics and interactions with nucleoplasm in living cells

open access: yeseLife, 2019
Liquid-liquid phase separation (LLPS) has been recognized as one of the key cellular organizing principles and was shown to be responsible for formation of membrane-less organelles such as nucleoli.

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Dual roles for ATP in the regulation of phase separated protein aggregates in Xenopus oocyte nucleoli

open access: yeseLife, 2018
For many proteins, aggregation is one part of a structural equilibrium that can occur. Balancing productive aggregation versus pathogenic aggregation that leads to toxicity is critical and known to involve adenosine triphosphate (ATP) dependent action of

Absence of jet quenching in peripheral nucleus-nucleus collisions

open access: yes, 2020
Medium effects on the production of high-$p_{\rm T}$ particles in nucleus-nucleus (AA) collisions are generally quantified by the nuclear modification factor ($R_{\rm AA}$), defined to be unity in absence of nuclear effects.

Targeted modulation of IGFL2‐AS1 reveals its translational potential in cervical adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 20, Issue 6, Page 1643-1660, June 2026.
Cervical adenocarcinoma patients face worse outcomes than squamous cell carcinoma counterparts despite similar treatment. The identification of IGFL2‐AS1's differential expression provides a molecular basis for distinguishing these histotypes, paving the way for personalized therapies and improved survival in vulnerable populations globally.

The substance P and neurokinin-1 receptor system in human thyroid cancer: an immunohistochemical study

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Histochemistry, 2020
To develop a new therapeutic strategy against thyroid cancer (TC), the expression of both substance P (SP) and neurokinin-1 receptor (NK-1R) must be demonstrated in TC cells.

suppression from hadron-nucleus to nucleus-nucleus collisions

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 1990
Abstract We explore the combined role of inelastic final-state scattering with nucleons and comoving secondary particles in the suppression of J ψ production for hadron-nucleus and nucleus-nucleus collisions, as functions of target mass, beam energy, and transverse energy.

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated
