Antiproton production in p-nucleus and nucleus-nucleus collisions

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1991
Abstract The production of antiprotons in proton-nucleus and nucleus-nucleus reactions is analyzed with respect to baryon-baryon production processes. The dynamical evolution of the phase-space distributions is treated on the basis of the Vlasov-Uehling-Uhlenbeck transport theory including explicitly pion, Δ(1232) and N∗(1400) degrees of freedom and ...

Rab14 regulates the transport of human papillomavirus to the trans‐Golgi network for infectious cell entry

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.

Genetic control of isozymes in the primary gene pool Phaseolus lunatus L. [PDF]

open access: yesBiotechnologie, Agronomie, Société et Environnement, 1999
Suitable electrophoretic separation methods of 34 isozymes from 17 enzyme systems resolved in Phaseolus lunatus L. (Lima bean) were developed. Data from the migration of the staining zones indicated that three loci control EST, GPI, IDH and MDH ...

Sensitivity of Cross Sections for Elastic Nucleus-Nucleus Scattering to Halo Nucleus Density Distributions

open access: yes, 2011
In order to clear up the sensitivity of the nucleus-nucleus scattering to the nuclear matter distributions of exotic halo nuclei, we have calculated differential cross sections for elastic scattering of the $^6$He and $^{11}$Li nuclei on several nuclear ...

The ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy as guardians of the cellular proteome

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This Perspective covers the three principles governing the crosstalk between the ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy in cellular proteostasis: (1) a shared ubiquitin code routing substrates via shuttle factors or autophagy receptors; (2) spatial compartmentalization into phase‐separated degradation hubs and organelle‐specific modules (exemplified

Beta-decay and structure of odd nuclei, suppression of weak forces in nuclei

open access: yesЯдерна фізика та енергетика, 2019
Results of calculations in the framework of the dynamic collective model of probabilities of beta-transitions for more than 20 nuclei with mass numbers from А = 31 to А = 231 with one universal renormalization of weak interaction constants are presented.

Ubiquitination of secretory granules promotes their crinophagic degradation in Drosophila

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ubiquitination of secretory granules in Drosophila larval salivary glands is a critical molecular trigger for crinophagy, the lysosomal degradation of unreleased, or low‐quality granules. The E3 ubiquitin ligase Cnot4 is recruited to the surface of secretory granules to induce crinophagy.

Double-parton scattering cross sections in proton-nucleus and nucleus-nucleus collisions at the LHC

open access: yes, 2014
Simple generic expressions to compute double-parton scattering (DPS) cross sections in high-energy proton-nucleus and nucleus-nucleus collisions, as a function of the corresponding single-parton cross sections, are presented.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 20, Issue 6, Page 1453-1472, June 2026.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

The IMPORTance of the Nucleus during Flavivirus Replication

open access: yesViruses, 2017
Flaviviruses are a large group of arboviruses of significant medical concern worldwide. With outbreaks a common occurrence, the need for efficient viral control is required more than ever.
