Identification of novel small molecule inhibitors of ETS transcription factors
ETS transcription factors play an essential role in tumourigenesis and are indispensable for sprouting angiogenesis, a hallmark of cancer, which fuels tumour expansion and dissemination. Thus, targeting ETS transcription factor function could represent an effective, multifaceted strategy to block tumour growth. The evolutionarily conserved E‐Twenty‐Six

Role of the CaV1.2 distal carboxy terminus in the regulation of L-type current
L-type calcium channels are essential for the excitation-contraction coupling in cardiac muscle. The CaV1.2 channel is the most predominant isoform in the ventricle which consists of a multi-subunit membrane complex that includes the CaV1.2 pore-forming ...

miRNA‐29 regulates epidermal and mesenchymal functions in skin repair
miRNA‐29 inhibits cell‐to‐cell and cell‐to‐matrix adhesion by silencing mRNA targets. Adhesion is controlled by complex interactions between many types of molecules coded by mRNAs. This is crucial for keeping together the layers of the skin and for regenerating the skin after wounding.

Nucleus-nucleus potential from identical-particle interference
Based on the quantum interference between two-identical-nucleus scattering at energies around the Coulomb barrier, the barrier positions for $^{58}$Ni+$^{58}$Ni and $^{16}$O+$^{16}$O are extracted from Mott oscillations in the angular distributions ...

High energy factorization in nucleus-nucleus collisions [PDF]
We derive a high energy factorization theorem for inclusive gluon production in A+A collisions. Our factorized formula resums i) all order leading logarithms (g^2 \ln(1/x_{1,2}))^n of the incoming partons momentum fractions, and ii) all contributions (g \

Heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) accounts for half of the heart failure cases. It is characterised by microvascular dysfunction, associated with reduced pericyte coverage and diminished STAT3 expression in pericytes. Loss of STAT3 impairs pericyte adhesion, promotes senescence, and activates a pro‐fibrotic gene program.

Topics on Hydrodynamic Model of Nucleus-Nucleus Collisions [PDF]
A survey is given on the applications of hydrodynamic model of nucleus-nucleus collisons, focusing especially on i) the resolution of hydrodynamic equations for arbitrary configurations, by using the smoothed-particle hydrodynamic approach; ii) effects ...
