A Decision Problem for Ultimately Periodic Sets in Non-standard Numeration Systems [PDF]
peer reviewedConsider a non-standard numeration system like the one built over the Fibonacci sequence where nonnegative integers are represented by words over {0, 1} without two consecutive 1.

CT10 regulator of kinase (CRK) and CRK‐Like (CRKL) are signaling adaptors driving cell adhesion, motility, differentiation, and proliferation. SH2‐domain containing (SH) proteins are enriched in YXXP motifs which when phosphorylated create preferred binding sites for CRK family SH2 domains.

Protein aggregates threaten proteostasis and cell health. In human cells, Hsp70–J‐domain protein‐based disaggregases remove aggregates, but how they assemble remains unclear. Our biochemical findings show that DNAJA2‐ and DNAJB1‐containing disaggregase scaffolds enhance luciferase aggregate targeting, and that Hsp70 recruitment by both J‐domain ...

Multiplication by a Constant and Recognizability in an Abstract Numeration System [PDF]
One of the main interesting concerns in work about numeration systems is studying the relationship that exist between arithmetic properties of numbers and syntactical properties of their representation.

Base 3 Numeration System Requiring a Negative Digit
An investigation of the minimum number of weights for weighing objects on a two-pan balance leads to two interesting discoveries. The first is that the weights must all be powers of three.

Patient Data Clustering using Fuzzy C-Means (FCM) and Agglomerative Hierarchical Clustering (AHC)
Generally, the current system development only include the input, view, and reports. At Jogja Hospital, a system with a patient database can only provide information about the percentage of male and female patients.

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

The predictive accuracy of the traditional staging system is based on disease progression as a tumour cell-autonomous process, but it fails to incorporate the effects of the host immune response.

In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.
