Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Distributed systems and numeric calculation [PDF]

open access: yesAnnals of Spiru Haret University Economic Series, 2010
Many software applications are considered as being failures, due to the fact that they cannot deal with certain issues. Thus the application and the investment are not justified. This situation is named implementation trap [1]. The resolution of a false problem can damage the whole project: it can be abandoned, so one can lose time and money.

On-line finite automata for addition in some numeration systems

open access: yes, 2002
We consider numeration systems where the base is a negative integer, or a complex number which is a root of a negative integer. We give parallel algorithms for addition in these numeration systems, from which we derive on-line algorithms realized by ...

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Regularity of positional numeration systems without a dominant root [PDF]

open access: yes
editorial reviewedThe language of a numeration system is the set of all words that are the representation of an integer in this system. The regularity of such a language is a desirable property of the associated numeration system as it is necessary for ...

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Conversion Between Two Multiplicatively Dependent Linear Numeration Systems

open access: yes, 2002
We consider two linear numeration systems, with characteristic polynomial equal to the minimal polynomial of two Pisot numbers and respectively, such that and are multiplicatively ...

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Multidimensional Numbers and Semantic Numeration Systems:Theoretical Foundation and Application

open access: yes, 2019
In this article, we present a new class of numeration systems, namely Semantic Numeration Systems. The methodological background and theoretical foundations of such systems are considered.
