DBDF: An implicit numerical differentiation algorithm for integrated circuit simulation [PDF]
Frequently, the design of integrated circuits cannot be accomplished by purely analytical techniques. Accurate and efficient algorithms for numerical circuit simulation are important tools.

Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Assessment of numerical differentiation methods for kinematic orbit solution of the GRACE mission [PDF]
textThe historical method of precise orbit determination is a dynamic approach. However, with the improvement of GPS tracking data and associated tracking networks, two newer methods have been developed: reduced-dynamic and kinematic.

Targeted therapy was evaluated in SHH medulloblastoma using neuroepithelial stem cell (NES) and tumor‐derived NES‐like (tNES) models in 2D monolayers and 3D spheroids. PI3K, AKT, and CDK4/6 inhibitors had minimal effects in NES but markedly reduced viability and growth and induced apoptosis in tNES cells, revealing distinct therapeutic vulnerabilities.

We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Numerical Differentiation As An Example For Inverse Problems [PDF]
. We present an error analysis for the numerical differentiation of noisy data via smoothing cubic splines. Our treatment is elementary enough to be included in a course on numerical analysis.

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

A Haskell implementation of the Lyness-Moler’s numerical differentiation algorithm [PDF]
This paper describes a computational problem encountered in numerical differentiation. By restricting the problem to a proper subclass of differentiable functions, a numerical solution first proposed by Lyness and Moler is considered and implemented in ...
