A New Kind of Parallel Natural Difference Method for Multi-Term Time Fractional Diffusion Model

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
Multi-term time fractional diffusion model is not only an important physical subject, but also a practical problem commonly involved in engineering. In this paper, we apply the alternating segment technique to combine the classical explicit and implicit ...

A Rational Triangle Function as a Model for a Conjugate Gradient Optimization Method. [PDF]

open access: yesAl-Rafidain Journal of Computer Sciences and Mathematics, 2006
This paper presents the development and implementation of a new numberical based on a non-quadratic Triangular rational function model. For solving non-linear optimization problem .The algorithm is implemented in one version, employing exact line search.

Convergence of Inverse Volatility Problem Based on Degenerate Parabolic Equation

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
Based on the theoretical framework of the Black–Scholes model, the convergence of the inverse volatility problem based on the degenerate parabolic equation is studied.

Degree of randomness: numerical experiments for astrophysical signals

open access: yes, 2011
Astrophysical and cosmological signals such as the cosmic microwave background radiation, as observed, typically contain contributions of different components, and their statistical properties can be used to distinguish one from the other.

Image Restoration via the Integration of Optimal Control Techniques and the Hamilton–Jacobi–Bellman Equation

open access: yesMathematics
In this paper, we propose a novel image restoration framework that integrates optimal control techniques with the Hamilton–Jacobi–Bellman (HJB) equation.

Mathematical modeling of Elbrus glaciers in the 21st century. Part 2. Forecasting glacier evolution and lake formation under various SSP scenarios

open access: yesЛëд и снег
Probable scenarios of future changes in the Elbrus glaciers and associated with them phenomena such as formation of glacial lakes and remaining ice masses buried under the debris cover are considered. The SSP scenarios (SSP1–1.9, SSP1–2.6, SSP2–4.5, SSP3–

Global glaciological models: a new stage in the development of methods for predicting glacier evolution. Part 1. General approach and model architecture

open access: yesЛëд и снег, 2021
For several decades, mathematical models of mountain glaciers and ice sheets have been used to study the dynamics of the cryosphere. In recent years, a new step in glaciological modeling has made possible to recon- struct processes in mountain-glacial ...

Dielectric properties of thin insulating layers measured by Electrostatic Force Microscopy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In order to measure the dielectric permittivity of thin insulting layers, we developed a method based on electrostatic force microscopy (EFM) experiments coupled with numerical simulations.

Numerical Experiments on Spiral Structure [PDF]

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 1970
Results of an n-body calculation, containing about 120000 particles, were shown as a motion picture. Some of the particles are treated as ‘gas’, obeying a special dissipative dynamics, the rest as ‘stars’. The system was started as pure ‘gas’, and ‘stars’ were made out of the ‘gas’ in a manner closely mimicking real galaxies.

Simulation of Radio-Frequency Capacitive Discharge at Atmospheric Pressure in Argon [PDF]

open access: yesУчёные записки Казанского университета: Серия Физико-математические науки, 2016
A one-dimensional self-consistent model of capacitive coupled radio-frequency discharge between symmetrical electrodes in argon in the local approximation at atmospheric pressure is considered in this paper.
