Observation of a Metallic Superfluid in a Numerical Experiment [PDF]
We report the observation, in Monte Carlo simulations, of a novel type of quantum ordered state: {\it the metallic superfluid}. The metallic superfluid features ohmic resistance to counter-flows of protons and electrons, while featuring dissipationless co-flows of electrons and protons.

Simulation of reactor transients in vver-1000 for pretraining of operating personnel
The pretraining system for NPP operating personnel in WWER-1000 is proposed. The basis of this system is computer simulation of reactor transients. The software packages and procedural guides for mathematical simulation of nuclear reactor kinetics are ...

Towards the Optimal Design of Numerical Experiments [PDF]
This paper addresses the problem of the optimal design of numerical experiments for the construction of nonlinear surrogate models. We describe a new method, called learner disagreement from experiment resampling (LDR), which borrows ideas from active learning and from resampling methods: the analysis of the divergence of the predictions provided by a ...

The heating rate influence on the dynamics of sample destruction [PDF]
We consider a mathematical model of the dynamics of the initial stage of destruction of a homogeneous sample under the influence of heating. For the mathematical description of the process we apply recently proposed mathematical model of a non ...
