Stress-strain state of a steel-reinforced concrete slab under long-term
This article explores the evaluation of the stress-strain state of steel reinforced concrete slabs under the action of long-term loads. The technique of computer simulation for the performance evaluation of steel reinforced concrete slabs under short ...

Numerical Simulation and Model Experiments of Sloshing in LNG Tanks [PDF]
A two-phase model has been developed to simulate hydrodynamic wave loading in different offshore environments. The numerical model is based on an improved Volume-Of-Fluid (iVOF) method, that is designed to simulate the interaction between waves and three-

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Parallel Algorithm of Balanced Sparse Packing of Rectangular Parallelepipeds
Introduction. Varieties of the problem of packing of rectangular parallelepipeds have a wide practical application in various fields of activity, for example, in the optimal filling of containers, in the design and layout of a wide variety of ...

Numerical analysis of time-dependent Boussinesq models [PDF]
In this paper we analyse numerical models for time-dependent Boussinesq equations. These equations arise when so-called Boussinesq terms are introduced into the shallow water equations.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Observation of a Metallic Superfluid in a Numerical Experiment [PDF]
We report the observation, in Monte Carlo simulations, of a novel type of quantum ordered state: {\it the metallic superfluid}. The metallic superfluid features ohmic resistance to counter-flows of protons and electrons, while featuring dissipationless co-flows of electrons and protons.

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...
