A Qualitative Approach to Universal Numerical Integrators (UNIs) with Computational Application

open access: yesHuman-Centric Intelligent Systems
Universal Numerical Integrators (UNIs) can be defined as the coupling of a universal approximator of functions (e.g., artificial neural network) with some conventional numerical integrator (e.g., Euler or Runge–Kutta).

Block methods for linear Hamiltonian systems

open access: yes上海师范大学学报. 自然科学版, 2014
For the numerical treatment of Hamiltonian differential equations, symplectic integrators are regarded as the most suitable choice. In this paper we are concerned with the applicability of block methods for the discrete approximate solution of linear ...

error estimation for Magnus-type integrators

open access: yes, 2019
We study high-order Magnus-type exponential integrators for large systems of ordinary differential equations defined by a time-dependent skew-Hermitian matrix.

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

A New Optimized Runge-Kutta Pair for the Numerical Solution of the Radial Schrödinger Equation

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2012
A new embedded pair of explicit modified Runge-Kutta (RK) methods for the numerical integration of the radial Schrödinger equation is presented. The two RK methods in the pair have algebraic orders five and four, respectively.

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Lyapunov-Based Synthesis of Self-Organizing Nonlinear Integrators for Stage Motion Control Under Parametric Uncertainty

open access: yesComputation
Linear integrators are traditionally used in motion control systems to compensate for static effects and suppress low-frequency disturbances. However, their use is inevitably accompanied by phase delays that limit the performance and robustness of ...

On a Variational Method for Stiff Differential Equations Arising from Chemistry Kinetics

open access: yesMathematics, 2019
For the approximation of stiff systems of ODEs arising from chemistry kinetics, implicit integrators emerge as good candidates. This paper proposes a variational approach for this type of systems.
