Targeting the PDK1/c‐Myc/SOX10 Signaling in Oligodendrocytes Alleviates Neuropathic Pain

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work reveals that oligodendrocyte homeostasis, mediated by PDK1, is a critical determinant of neuropathic pain (NPP) pathogenesis. Disruption of PDK1 in oligodendrocytes impairs SOX10‐dependent myelination programs through c‐Myc accumulation, leading to disrupted myelination and the pathophysiology of NPP.

Investigating the shape memory properties of 4D printed polylactic acid (PLA) and the concept of 4D printing onto nylon fabrics for the creation of smart textiles

open access: yesVirtual and Physical Prototyping, 2017
3D printing is an ever growing industry that provides many benefits to the advanced manufacturing and design industry. However, parts tend to be static, rigid, and lack multi-purpose use.

3D Large‐Scale Subwavelength‐Resolution Sound Sheet Tomography Based on an Active and Programmable Circular Meta‐Array

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A programmable 2048‐element circular ultrasound array combined with a compact acoustic lens produces a thin “sound sheet” over a large field of view, and records echoes with wide angular diversity across the ring aperture. Coherence‐enhanced beamforming converts full‐matrix data into high‐contrast tomographic slices, delivering near‐diffraction‐limited

A Pollen‐Enhanced Bionic Mechanoreceptor Induced by Asymmetric Ionic Convection in Hydrogel for Sensory‐Augmented Prostheses

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work proposed a pollen‐enhanced bionic mechanoreceptor based on ionic convection. Leveraging the ion anchoring effect of the pollen particle, the output performance could be ∼12 times higher than the original state. By employing deep learning models as AI brains, the feasibility of a sensory‐augmented prosthesis consisting of a pollen‐enhanced ...

Electrospinning and Porosity Measurements of Nylon-6/Poly(ethylene oxide) Blended Nonwovens [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Engineered Fibers and Fabrics, 2007
A simple method was used to prepare a nonwoven fabric of intimately co-mingled Nylon-6 and Polyethylene oxide (PEO) electrospun fibers by spinning fibers onto a rotating collector. Electrospinning parameters for each polymer were independent.
