ABSTRACT As a crucial puzzle piece of deep space exploration, exploring small bodies can provide significant scientific insights and valuable mineral resources. Unlike missions to the Moon and Mars, small‐body missions pose distinct technical challenges, including communication delays, weak gravity, and uncertain environments. This paper reviews a full

Mechanical Properties and Stress Analysis of Natural Fiber Reinforced Polymer Composite Spur Gear
This research study investigates the mechanical properties of polymer composites reinforced with natural fibers, specifically Palmyra palm leaf stalk fiber (PPLSF) and Palmyra palm primary leaf stalk fiber (PPFLSF). Tensile, flexural, and impact strength

Thermo‐responsive granular hydrogels (TRGHs), composed of microparticles and an interstitial matrix, exhibit thermo‐responsive mechanical properties and allow cell infiltration. This system effectively addresses the conventional compromise between mechanical strength and porosity observed in granular hydrogels.

Spatiotemporal distribution of odontocete cetaceans within China's Jiushan Archipelago National Nature Reserve was investigated. Fishing vessels significantly reduced both cetacean acoustic detections and feeding activity, whereas gillnets selectively suppressed cetacean feeding behavior without affecting overall cetacean detection rates.

Gear Finishing with a Nylon Lap. A Lapping Machine and Lapped Surfaces.
This study aims at developing a technology that the tooth flanks of a hardened gear can be mirror-finished in a short time. We propose a simple gear finishing method using a helical gear made of nylon for the lap. This method is a lapping in which the work gear is meshed with a helical gear set at a helical angle. analogous to shaving.

DeepZoo: A cost‐effective and modular sampler for ecological studies in the deep ocean
Abstract Understanding the structure and dynamics of deep‐ocean communities requires effective sampling of pelagic organisms in near‐bottom waters. These dispersive organisms contribute to biodiversity, connectivity and ecosystem recovery. Yet, current sampling methods remain constrained by size, cost, and depth, leaving key questions unanswered in ...
