A Host‐Guest, Zeolite/Organocation Material With Isotropic Zero Thermal Expansion
The use of selected organic structure directing agents for the hydrothermal synthesis of targeted zeolites exhibiting negative thermal expansion provides a straightforward strategy to obtain a new class of host‐guest, nanostructured, crystalline zero thermal expansion materials made of light and abundant elements.

Measurement and Modeling of Ground-Level Ozone Concentration in Catania, Italy using Biophysical Remote Sensing and GIS [PDF]
This experimental study examined spatial variation of ground level ozone (O3) in the city of Catania, Italy using thirty passive samplers deployed in a 500-m grid pattern. Significant spatial variation in ground level O3 concentrations (ranging from 12.8

An estimate of the stratospheric contribution to springtime tropospheric ozone maxima using TOPSE measurements and beryllium-7 simulations [PDF]
Measurements of tropospheric ozone (O3) between 30°N and 70°N show springtime maxima at remote locations. The contribution of seasonal changes in stratosphere–troposphere exchange (STE) to these maxima was investigated using measurements from the ...

3D Soft Hydrogels Induce Human Mesenchymal Stem Cells “Deep” Quiescence
Three‐dimensional soft hydrogels mimicking the bone marrow niche induce deep quiescence in human mesenchymal stem cells. Unlike 2D culture, 3D matrices halt proliferation, regulate cell‐cycle and quiescence markers, and downregulate mTORC1 signaling, preserving stem cell phenotype and therapeutic potential ex vivo.

Opportunities of Semiconducting Oxide Nanostructures as Advanced Luminescent Materials in Photonics
The review discusses the challenges of wide and ultrawide bandgap semiconducting oxides as a suitable material platform for photonics. They offer great versatility in terms of tuning microstructure, native defects, doping, anisotropy, and micro‐ and nano‐structuring. The review focuses on their light emission, light‐confinement in optical cavities, and

Unexplained enhancements of CH3Br in the Arctic and sub-Arctic lower troposphere during TOPSE spring 2000 [PDF]
Elevated concentrations of methyl bromide (CH3Br) were observed in the Arctic atmospheric boundary layer (BL) during periods of widespread BL ozone (O3) depletion episodes (ODEs: O3 mixing ratios < 20 × 10-9 or parts per billion by volume, ppbv ...
