Identification of NIBAN2‐Regulated RUNX2 Alternative Splicing Presents Novel Strategies for Antagonizing Osteoporosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 17, May 8, 2025.
NIBAN2 interacts with the HNRNPU‐cored spliceosome complex and alters its components to regulate the alternative splicing of RUNX2, which ultimately cause an increase in functional RUNX2 (nuclear localization sequence complete) but a decrease in dysfunctional Runx2 (exon 6‐exclusive) isoforms to reinforce osteoblast differentiation.

The Low-mass Populations in OB Associations [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2006
Low-mass stars 0.1 ~< M ~< 1 Msun) in OB associations are key to addressing some of the most fundamental problems in star formation. The low-mass stellar populations of OB associations provide a snapshot of the fossil star-formation record of giant molecular cloud complexes.

Distinct CTC Specific RNA Profile Enables NSCLC Early Detection and Dynamic Monitoring of Advanced NSCLC

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A quantitative CTC RNA assay is developed by incorporating multi‐antibody‐based CTC isolation and specific mRNA quantification using RT‐ddPCR. The NSCLC CTC ScoreD demonstrates high accuracy for early‐stage NSCLC detection, significantly outperforming serum CEA. NSCLC CTC ScoreM exhibits a more accurate early‐warning of responses to different therapies

PABPN1 Couples the Polyadenylation and Translation of Maternal Transcripts to Mouse Oocyte Meiotic Maturation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cytoplasmic PABPN1 is essential for mouse oocyte meiotic maturation by coordinating polyadenylation, translation, and degradation of maternal mRNAs. Pabpn1 knockout disrupts CDK1 activation, spindle formation, and chromosome alignment by impairing maturation‐promoting factor (MPF) regulation and BTG4‐mediated deadenylation ...

Profile of Protective Anti-Hbs Antibodies among Healthy Indian Children and Adults Immunized in Infancy

open access: yesInternational Journal of Infectious Diseases
Introduction: Hepatitis-B (HB) virus infection is a serious public health problem worldwide. It's almost 20 years since HB vaccination was first introduced in our National Immunization Schedule (NIS).

A new investigation on the Antlia Dwarf Galaxy [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 1999
We present deep (I,V-I) and (I,B-I) color-magnitude diagrams (CMDs) of the Antlia dwarf galaxy, based on Science Verification (SV) data collected with the FORS I camera on the ESO Very Large Telescope (VLT). The CMDs present two key features: a well-defined RGB, and a sample of bright blue stars, belonging to a young stellar component.

SMC4 Promotes Prostate Cancer Cell Proliferation and Metastasis via the Rheb/mTOR Pathway

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Structural maintenance of chromosome protein 4 (SMC4) has been implicated in prostate cancer metastasis. Knockdown of SMC4 in RM1‐LM cells significantly attenuates proliferation, migration, and lung metastasis in vivo. Furthermore, SMC4 interacts with GLUT1 (Slc2a1), thereby enhancing glycolysis, ATP production, and activation of the Rheb/mTOR pathway.

Comparison of Immediate Induction (Within 6 Hours) Versus Late Induction (After 24 Hours) in Terms of Mean PROM to Delivery Interval in Females Presenting with Term PROM

open access: yesJournal of Rawalpindi Medical College, 2018
Background: To compare the immediate induction (within 06 hours) versus late induction (after 24 hours) in terms of mean pre-labour rupture of membranes (PROM) to delivery interval in females presenting with term PROM.

Interactive Occlusion Boundary Estimation through Exploitation of Synthetic Data [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Occlusion boundaries (OBs) geometrically localize the occlusion events in a 2D image, and contain useful information for addressing various scene understanding problems. To advance their study, we have led the investigation in the following three aspects.
