Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

A Switching Observer for State-of-Charge Estimation of Reconfigurable Supercapacitors
While State-of-Charge (SOC) estimation for supercapacitors has been extensively studied, most research focuses on single units. However, the recent introduction of reconfigurable circuits significantly alters system dynamics, rendering existing SOC ...

Optimal signal processing for continuous qubit readout
The measurement of a quantum two-level system, or a qubit in modern terminology, often involves an electromagnetic field that interacts with the qubit, before the field is measured continuously and the qubit state is inferred from the noisy field ...

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Attitude control of flexible space structures using extended state observer
In this paper, we construct a nonlinear Extended State Observer (ESO) to estimate the dynamics of linear or nonlinear systems with parameter uncertainties and unknown external disturbances.

An Unknown Input Multi-Observer Approach for Estimation and Control under Adversarial Attacks
We address the problem of state estimation, attack isolation, and control of discrete-time linear time-invariant systems under (potentially unbounded) actuator and sensor false data injection attacks.
