Sensor Fault Detection for Linear Systems by Multiple H-l H ∞ Observers

2019 CAA Symposium on Fault Detection, Supervision and Safety for Technical Processes (SAFEPROCESS), 2019
In this paper, the problem of sensor fault detection (FD) for linear discrete-time systems has been studied with the aid of multiple H-l H∞ observers approach.

On Functional Interval Observers for Discrete-time Linear Systems

2019 CAA Symposium on Fault Detection, Supervision and Safety for Technical Processes (SAFEPROCESS), 2019
This note gives a straightforward method of the functional interval observers design for discrete-time linear systems. First, a framework of the functional interval observer is constructed.

Linear function observer for linear discrete-time systems

IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 1975
The problem of estimating the value of a linear function of the state deterministically is considered for a finite-dimensional linear time-invariant discrete-time system. A procedure is stated for constructing a minimum-time linear function observer, i.e., an observer which begins to produce the errorless estimate in minimum-time.

Distributed Luenberger observers for linear systems

Proceedings of the 10th World Congress on Intelligent Control and Automation, 2012
The distributed Luenberger observers for linear systems under switching topology is considered. These observers are arranged in a communication graph configuration, and perform estimation tasks by distributed local data fusion in the sense that each observer receives measurements from local sensors and exchanges information with its neighbors.

Reduced-order linear functional observer for linear systems

IEE Proceedings - Control Theory and Applications, 1999
A new reduced-order linear functional observer is introduced in this paper. The order of the observer is proportional to the ratio of the number of output measurements to the number of inputs. It is shown that the observer asymptotically converges to any number of linear functionals when some minor conditions are met.

Asymptotic observers for non-linear systems†

International Journal of Systems Science, 1992
Abstract Observer design for non-linear systems is discussed. Some recent approaches are based on state and output change of coordinates to transform a non-linear system into a particular observer form, from which an asymptotic observer can be designed ensuring the asymptotic stability of the error dynamics in the new coordinates.

Comments on "Linear function observer for linear discrete-time systems"

IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 1979
Two alternative systematic algorithms are suggested to compute the matrix T necessary to design a minimum-time linear function observer. The simplicity of these algorithms gives mole insight to the understanding of the observer structure. Furthermore, the computational effort required to obtain the matrix J is spared.

Observability implies observer design for switched linear systems

Proceedings of the 14th international conference on Hybrid systems: computation and control, 2011
This paper presents a characterization of observability and an observer design method for a class of hybrid systems. A necessary and sufficient condition is presented for observability, globally in time, when the system evolves under predetermined mode transitions.
