On finite-time observers for linear systems*
This work deals with the problem of finite-time homogeneous observer design for linear systems. Compared to other works, the stability conditions and parameters tuning are formulated using linear matrix inequalities being less conservative. The proposed results are based on the homogeneity property and Implicit Lyapunov Function method. The results are

Actuator Fault Detection for Unmanned Ground Vehicles Considering Friction Coefficients
This paper proposes an actuator fault detection method for unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) dynamics with four mecanum wheels. The actuator fault detection method is based on unknown input observers for linear parameter varying systems.

Toward a Nonlocal Theory of Gravitation [PDF]
The nonlocal theory of accelerated systems is extended to linear gravitational waves as measured by accelerated observers in Minkowski spacetime. The implications of this approach are discussed.

Local observers on linear Lie groups with linear estimation error dynamics [PDF]
This paper proposes local exponential observers for systems on linear Lie groups. We study two different classes of systems. In the first class, the full state of the system evolves on a linear Lie group and is available for measurement.

A Hybrid Observer for Practical Observability of Linear Stochastic Systems
This paper focuses on the problem of observability and observer design for linear stochastic systems. To introduce our idea, we first construct an idealistic observer. This idealistic observer is not causal as it requires perfect knowledge of the Brownian motion.

Mixed Order Fractional Observers for Minimal Realizations of Linear Time-Invariant Systems
Adaptive and non-adaptive minimal realization (MR) fractional order observers (FOO) for linear time-invariant systems (LTIS) of a possibly different derivation order (mixed order observers, MOO) are studied in this paper.

Interval Observers for Linear Impulsive Systems
The problem of interval observer design is studied for a class of linear hybrid systems. Several observers are designed oriented on different conditions of positivity and stability for estimation error dynamics. Efficiency of the proposed approach is demonstrated by computer experiments for academic and bouncing ball systems.
