Mass Cytometry‐Based Approach for the Investigation of Stimulator of Interferon Genes Pathway

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Immunology, Volume 55, Issue 12, December 2025.
Using mass cytometry, we map the heterogeneous activation of the STING pathway at single‐cell resolution in cell lines and primary human immune cells and validate them with conventional techniques. ABSTRACT The stimulator of interferon genes (STING) pathway plays a pivotal role in innate immunity, acting as a key sensor of cytosolic DNA to initiate ...

Can mixed stands of native and non-native tree species enhance diversity of epigaeic arthropods in plantation forests? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
In regions with low cover of natural forests and high cover of plantations predominately comprised of non-native species, inclusion of a native tree species with a more productive non-native species has the potential to enhance biodiversity and meet ...

Naming Matters: Hydridic Hydrogen Atoms are Halogen, Chalcogen, and Pnictogen Bond Acceptors not “Hydridic Hydrogen Bond” Donors

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 31, Issue 52, September 16, 2025.
Hydridic hydrogen atoms (e.g., in Me3Ge─H) form directional noncovalent interactions with electrophilic Br, Se, and As centers. Through electrostatic and orbital analyses, these interactions are identified as halogen, chalcogen, and PnBs, not as “hydridic hydrogen bonds.” The study promotes clarity in nomenclature consistent with IUPAC guidelines ...

Generalized OCI schemes for boundary layer problems [PDF]

open access: yesMathematics of Computation, 1980
A family of tridiagonal formally fourth-order difference schemes is developed for a class of singular perturbation problems. These schemes have no cell Reynolds number limitation and satisfy a discrete maximum principle. Error estimates and numerical results for this family of methods are given, and are compared with those for several other schemes.

Preservation of Sardinella longiceps in iced and chilled seawater. Part 1 - Changes during storage with particular reference to bacterial load and nitrogenous compounds [PDF]

open access: yes, 1985
Oil sardines in prime condition were subjected to onboard chilling. Two lots were chilled in CSW (samples C and CI), a third lot was chilled in crushed ice (sample I) and a fourth lot left not iced on deck (Sample AI). Upon landing sample AI was iced and

A Study of Skeletal Stem Cell Dynamics and Its Potential Applications in the Design of a Titanium Implant for Senile Osteoporosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 34, September 11, 2025.
Senescent mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) drive age‐related osteoporosis (A‐OP) via adipogenic bias. Resveratrol, selected from transcriptome‐identified core genes, is delivered locally using GelMA‐chitosan hydrogel‐functionalised titanium implants. In A‐OP microenvironments, the hydrogel enables the sustained release of resveratrol, which reverses ...

Building OCI Images With a Container Orchestrator : A comparison of OCI build-tools

open access: yes, 2021
Cloud computing is a quickly growing field in modern computing science where new technologies arise every day. One of the latest trends in cloud computing is container based technology, which  allows applications to run in a reproducible and stateless fashion without requiring manually installed dependencies. Another trend in computer science is DevOps,
