Molecular Dynamics Studies of Shape Memory Polymers: From Bead–Spring Models to Atomistic Simulations

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Coarse‐grained (left) and atomistic (right) models of the shape memory polymer ESTANE ETE 75DT3 are shown schematically. The two representations bridge molecular detail and mesoscopic description. Both models capture shape memory behavior, linking segmental mobility and conformational relaxation of anisotropic chains to macroscopic recovery, and ...

Microstructure, Thermal Transport, and Dry‐Sliding Tribology of Powder‐Metallurgy Al7075 Composites Reinforced With Sol–Gel‐Derived ZnO–rGO Hybrid Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Sol–gel‐derived ZnO–rGO hybrid nanoparticles enable Al7075 powder‐metallurgy composites to achieve concurrent gains in hardness and thermal conductivity while markedly lowering friction and wear. The hybrid architecture couples ZnO‐based load support with rGO‐assisted lamellar sliding and heat spreading, revealing a promising route toward lightweight ...

Multiregional Characterization of White Wines Using Odor Activity Values, Aromatic Scores, and LDA Classification

open access: yesBeverages
This study investigates the effects of terroir on the sensory expression of two major white grape varieties, Fetească albă and Sauvignon blanc. The experimental design included wines from eleven wineries distributed across the main Romanian wine-growing regions—Banat, Dobrogea, Moldova, Muntenia–Oltenia, and Transylvania—covering a wide range of ...

DNA‐Templated 2D Heterostructures as Phototriggered Dynamic Nanohybrids: From Releasing Molecular Loads to Controlling Enzyme Biocatalytic Function

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
DNA strands are employed both as dynamic linkers and nanoscale templates for the integration of Ag2S nanoparticles on MoS2, which in turn imparted photothermal responsiveness; this feature permits the selective cargo (fluorophore, quantum dots or an enzyme) release from the MoS2 surface in response to local heat induced by light irradiation.

Characterization of key odor-active volatiles in jasmine green tea by sensomics and chemometrics

open access: yesFood Chemistry: X
Jasmine green tea (JGT), a distinctive Chinese tea product, derives its unique aroma via the adsorption of volatiles from jasmine flowers onto green tea-base tea (GBT).
