Frugivory‐mediated trophic cascades: how apex predators can shape the recruitment of a fleshy‐fruited tree

open access: yesOikos, EarlyView.
The recovery of large carnivores offers unique opportunities to study their cascading impacts on plant population dynamics. Medium‐sized carnivores, both prey and seed dispersers, are suppressed by apex predators, indirectly increasing seed‐eating rodent's populations and potentially altering plant establishment.

Migrasomes, Matrix‐Bound Nanovesicles, and More: Messengers in the Matrix

open access: yesPROTEOMICS, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Extracellular vesicles (EVs) and particles (EPs) are diverse micro‐ and nanoparticles that circulate in bodily fluids and can attach to, or be deposited onto, the extracellular matrix (ECM) and other surfaces. The effects of flower supplementation on pollinators and pollination along an urbanisation gradient

open access: yesPLANTS, PEOPLE, PLANET, EarlyView.
Enhancing urban greenspaces for pollinator communities by planting flower patches is increasingly common, but their efficacy for different groups of insects (bees, hoverflies and moths) is unclear. Our city‐scale experiment demonstrated that the effect of flower patches on pollinators is complex, and direct benefits to specific insects are difficult to
