Efficient four-quadrant carrier frequency offset tracking for OFDM

Journal of the Chinese Institute of Engineers, 2017
AbstractWe modify a LC-CFO estimator in the literature to make it easier to implement. By using the Lagrange interpolation, three low-order functions are used as candidates for replacing the arctangent function used in the LC-CFO estimator. The simplest one among these low-order functions sets its output directly equal to its input.

Tracking the amplitude versus offset by using orthogonal polynomials

55th EAEG Meeting, 1993
The AVO of pre-critical reflections can usually be approximated by lower degree polynomials. Some investigators have applied least squares fitting of polynomials (the reflection polynomials) to describe the AVO in a more condensed form. From the set of coefficients of the reflection polynomials various seismic sections may then be constructed revealing

All digital frequency offset tracking loop in OFDM systems

Proceedings. 2005 International Conference on Wireless Communications, Networking and Mobile Computing, 2005., 2005
In this paper based on early-late gate phase-locked loop a new frequency offset tracking algorithm is put forward. The study shows that under low SNR the performance of the proposed algorithm is better by several orders compared to the common frequency offset tracking methods, and it can track the first strong signal path in multipath fading channels ...

Frequency offset tracking in OFDM based on multicarrier PLL

MILCOM 2000 Proceedings. 21st Century Military Communications. Architectures and Technologies for Information Superiority (Cat. No.00CH37155), 2002
A novel algorithm for frequency offset tracking in orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) is proposed. The algorithm is based on decision-feedback and assumes differential reception. It makes it possible to track the frequency shift of an OFDM signal transmitted over a frequency dispersive channel. The channel is assumed to be time invariant

Offset-free Tracking: There and Back Again

2017
Feedback is necessary to reduce the effect of disturbances and to cope with unavoidable modeling errors. Nonetheless, the way in which feedback is used to achieve offset-free tracking in the presence of persistent errors or non-zero mean disturbances appears to be often a question of personal preference among possible different, sometimes ad-hoc ...
