Micellization in vegetable oils: A structural characterisation

Colloids and Surfaces B: Biointerfaces, 2017
The solubilisation of polar and polyphenol antioxidant in vegetable oils was studied. It was shown that the use of a polyglyceryl-3-diisostearate (PG3DS), a bio-sourced emulsifier well known in cosmetics, increases the yield of solubilisation thanks to some aggregation properties analysed using x-ray scattering technique.

Chaotic Structure of Oil Prices, Inflation and Unemployment.

Nonlinear dynamics, psychology, and life sciences, 2019
This article investigates the chaotic relationship among inflation rate, unemployment rate and oil prices over the period of January, 1974-October, 2018 in the USA. This study complements the previous studies on this subject. However, it differs from the existing literature in examination of inflation-unemployment trade-off by a neural network model in

STUDY ON THE STRUCTURE OF HEAVY OILS

Petroleum Science and Technology, 1997
ABSTRACT The structural parameters of six heavy oils have been calculated with n-d-M, Brown-Ladner and 1HNMR/IR method in this paper. The aliphatic H/C atomic ratio Hs/Cs i.e. x values were obtained from IR spectra combining with 1HNMR spectra. The comparison of structural parameters calculated by 1HNMR/IR, Brown Ladner and n-d-M methods were carried ...

Structured polyurethanes for oil uptake

Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 2005
AbstractIn an attempt to develop a desirable resin formulation for spilled oil absorption, segmented polyurethanes of various types and lengths of hard and soft segments have been synthesized and tested for X‐ray diffraction, thermal, mechanical, and dynamic mechanical properties in addition to oil and water absorptions.

Multiphase Structure of Bio-oils

Energy & Fuels, 2005
The multiphase complex structure of biomass pyrolysis oils can be attributed to the presence of char particles, waxy materials, aqueous droplets, droplets of different nature, and micelles formed of heavy compounds in a matrix of hollocellulose-derived compounds and water.

Electrical Prospecting for Oil Structure

AAPG Bulletin, 1930
ABSTRACT Electrical prospecting methods were originally developed for the purpose of finding ore. Only recently have electrical methods been applied to oil prospecting. Some investigators assert that oil can be located directly as an insulator by electrical methods, but this is believed to be possible only under extremely favorable ...
