Advanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.The gas‐phase decomposition of Al(acac)3 is investigated under inert, oxygen, and water‐containing conditions. Water is found to promote selective ligand removal and suppress hydrocarbon formation, while oxygen induces faster, less selective decomposition pathways.
