Template-Directed Olefin Cross Metathesis
[reaction: see text] A template containing two secondary dialkylammonium ion recognition sites for encirclement by olefin-bearing dibenzo[24]crown-8 derivatives has been used to promote olefin cross metatheses with ruthenium-alkylidene catalysts.

Dimesitylphosphide as a heavier congener of established amide ligands for charge‐transfer copper(I) complexes leads to bathochromic shift of the emission by up to 3645 cm−1 into the orange‐red (solid, polymer films) and even NIR (solution). The thermally activated delayed fluorescence exhibits high dissymmetry factors of glum = 10−2 in polystyrene.

trans-Ethylenedi-p-phenylene diacetate
The centrosymmetric title compound, C18H26O4, was prepared in high yield from 4-acetoxystyrene via Ru-catalysed homo-olefin metathesis. Exclusive formation of the E-configurated isomer was observed.
