Designing of Self‐Dispersing Soft Dendritic Microcleaners for Microplastics Capture and Recovery

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The capture and recovery of microplastics from open aquatic systems is a complex problem, which necessitates nontrivial solutions. The principles of a comprehensive multistage process based on sustainably sourced microcleaners with hierarchical morphology are demonstrated.

A comparison of the metabolism of elaidic, oleic, palmitic, and stearic acids in the rat

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1964
A comparison has been made of the metabolism of 1-C14-labeled oleic, elaidic, palmitic, and stearic acids in the rat. Each acid was fed as a component of randomly rearranged soybean oil. All the acids were more than 96% absorbed.

The Bovine Hepatic Cell Line BFH12 as a Possible Model for Hepatosteatosis in Dairy Cows

open access: yesFrontiers in Veterinary Science, 2022
Hepatosteatosis is a common metabolic disorder of dairy cows, especially during early lactation. Currently, there are a few models of bovine hepatic steatosis available, including primary hepatocytes, liver slices, and animal models.

HeLa細胞におけるオレイン酸によるアポトーシスの機構 : IκBβ の誘導によるcaspase非依存性経路の関与 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Epidemiological studies of breast and pancreatic cancer in several Mediterranean countries, including Southern Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East have demonstrated that increased dietary intake of oleic acid may reduce a risk of cancer onset.

Unravelling the surface chemistry of metal oxide nanocrystals, the role of acids and bases [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We synthesized HfO2 nanocrystals from HfCl4 using a surfactant-free solvothermal process in benzyl alcohol and found that the resulting nanocrystals could be transferred to nonpolar media using a mixture of carboxylic acids and amines.

H2O2‐Generating Advanced Nanomaterials for Cancer Treatment

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
H2O2‐generating nanoplatforms can exploit tumor redox imbalance for O2 and toxic reactive oxygen species generation, leading to hypoxia reversal, and apoptosis of cancer cells, respectively. This review highlights the mechanisms of these nanoplatforms, including exogenous H₂O₂ delivery, endogenous amplification, and metal peroxides, which leads to ...

"A GAS CHROMATOGRAPHIC METHOD FOR THE DETERMINATION OF INDIVIDUAL FREE FATTY ACIDS IN SERUM" [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Public Health, 1977
Serum fatty acids on 30 healthy lranian women were detemined by a gas chromatographic method. Oleic and stearic acids were used as standards. The mean values were myristic acid 5.

Long-term effects of cis and trans monounsaturated (18:1) and saturated (16:0) fatty acids on the synthesis and secretion of apolipoprotein A-I- and apolipoprotein B-containing lipoproteins in HepG2 cells

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 2000
The objective of this study was to compare the long-term effects of oleic (cis 18:1), elaidic (trans 18:1), and palmitic (16:0) acids on hepatic lipoprotein production, using HepG2 cells as an experimental model.

Evaluation of nuts morphology and composition of fatty acids in certain Iranian Pistacia vera L. (Anacardiaceae) cultivars

open access: yesActa Agriculturae Slovenica, 2021
Fruits of various Pistachio (Pistacia vera L.) cultivars are widely used in food industries for its inimitable color, taste and nutrient value. We elevated fruit morphology and kernel fatty acids composition of eleven Iranian cultivars of pistachio. Oils
