This study investigates the impact of global Cyp2e1 knockout and wild‐type mice to explore the effect of altered ethanol metabolism on behavior and gene expression. Knockout mice demonstrated altered alcohol‐related pathways, increased ethanol sensitivity, and escalated drinking.
